phishpond417 (1162), Green Bay, Wisconsin, USA Jul 22, 2008 Pours a bright orange colour with a small to medium sized white fluffy head. Aroma is sweet yet stinging. By that i mean it is fruity, citrusy, floral and enticing, yet the sharp hop scent- well balanced of course, leads me to think that this brew might have something special in store for me. Astringent, chewy and slightly bitter. plenty of fruits and fresh flowers floating around this one. My second brew from Stone. Thanks for coming to Wisc! crowderm (154), St. Paul, Minnesota, USA Jul 20, 2008 Deep amber with a nice white head. Aroma is decently hoppy with lots of underlying malt sweetness. The flavor picks up on the malt sweetness in a big way, but a nasty, peppery, metallic hop character brings the flavor down overall. Good thick mouthfeel. Pretty good beer, but the flavor was not my favorite. Skeegle (293), USA Jul 16, 2008 I was shocked with how flavorful and thick this beer was. It has an awesome caramel malty profile to go with the hops that make this absolutely (save Alpha King) the best pale ale I’ve had to date. It was thicker than I expected too, which brought out the caramelity in a way that made it taste sugary along with the thickness. Just great, and actually very different for a pale ale. SuperDave70 (652), Arizona, USA Jul 14, 2008 Dark amber pour with a medium foamy head that lasted. Aroma is light roasted malt followed by some hops coming through. Good lightly roasted caramel malt flavor, with a touch of citrus hops on the finish. A really nice pale ale. MartiniFiend (66), Mount Horeb, Wisconsin, USA Jul 13, 2008 Bottle. Dark amber with a creamy head. Nice hop aroma with a maltiness that dosn’t infringe on the hops. Very nice palate. Flavor starts out hoppy with a well balanced malt finish. An excellant beer.
