4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle. enjoy by 10/10/13, enjoyed thoroughly on 8/20/13. Pours a golden with a bit of copper, perfectly clear and with a fluffy and creamy one finger white head. Aroma of sweet malts and lots of hops, Stone style. Flavor is hop forward with a nice lingering bitter. Grapefruit, grass, and pine galore. Coconut? I guess it is this strange additional bitter flavor I am getting. Not offensive, but something different and not really coconut, per se. Easy drinking with plenty of carbonation. I dunno about the coconut, but this is an excellent IPA on its own.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
This brew is a clear orange-gold color with a medium creamy white head that recedes slowly. Patchy lacing on the glass. The aroma consists of tropical fruit, hops and malt, Medium-bodied with flavors of juicy mango, hops and toasted malt. Coconut is very subtle. The finish is hoppy up front with a tropical fruit aftertaste. Above average overall, but would be considerably better with more pronounced coconut.

4.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
This is a lovely hoppy beer. It has loads of hop expression but shows a touch of balance and restraint. Although there is no dominating coconut flavor, some hint of coconut seems to be integral to the balance that characterizes this beer and possibly mutes hop expression somewhat.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Despite my high rating, I was touch disappointed with this beer. This is entirely due to Stone’s relentless ability to produce top-notch beer’s at reasonable prices. Pours perfectly to style light gold with white head. Scent is more tangerine that grapefruit. Starts sweet, gets bitter, then sweet again. Its namesake coconut is no where to be found. Nicely carbonated. Bottle - Sherlock’s - Decatur, GA

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours a clear golden orange from the bottle with fluffy off-white head that leaves good lacing. Aroma of strong resinous hops, citrus and pine. Taste follows with a hint of toasted coconut, mild at best. Not bad, but coconut is very faint.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
On tap at Capitol Beer and Taproom. Pours a Clear orange/copper hue with little foam. Aroma of IPA smell overlaid with coconut. Taste is same but more IPA character is apparent. Coconut comes first and then disappears with a strong hop bitterness. Too hoppy for the coconut.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Tap pour - @ RHP. Pours golden clear with nice medium-full fluffy white head. Tropical fruit and hop notes on the nose. Nothing distinctly different from IPAs. Big malty bill, rounder creamier finish. Finishes with oranges, resin, and bitterness. Good, not spectacular nor a coconut seeker.

On tap, don’t get this. No perceivable coconut smell or taste. Comes across simply as a milder ipa or stronger apa. Disappointing. Some co2.

Tap at Republic. Pours a hazy copper with white head. Aroma and flavor are nice citrusy hops. Creamy coconut and a great palate.

4.1 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Managed to grab the last 22oz bottle of this at Keg Liquors. Pours a hazy copper/amber color with a one-finger white head and a fair amount of lacing. Amazing aroma of tropical fruits such as mango, peach, grapefruit, orange, and coconut. Literally mouthwatering. Taste is toasted coconut, mango and tangerine. Definitely a pronounced tropical taste. Malty background of cereal and wheat bread. Dry finish with a lingering coconut aftertaste that does not quit! Medium body, oily texture, high carbonation that stings the tongue in a peppery kind of way. Overall another winner from Stone. With the craft beer market overflowing with IPAs, it’s good to see there are still some original ideas out there. Certainly worth seeking out.
