COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
RUINING PALATES SINCE 2002
In June 2012, we celebrated the 10th birthday of our notoriously mega-hopped double IPA, Stone Ruination IPA, with the release of a very special version that was even bigger and, incredibly, even hoppier than the original. If Stone Ruination IPA is “A Liquid Poem to the Glory of the Hop,” then Stone Ruination Tenth Anniversary IPA was an amped-up heavy metal version of that ode delivered with the force of a sledgehammer. Luckily for us, our fans love loud and aggressive brews, specifically when copious amounts of humulus lupulus are involved. The original release of this beer was so instantly beloved by those who dared try it

beauty of a bomber. Amazingly golden & clear very similar to traditional Ruination. Heavy skunky aroma of wet hops. So bitter, beyond citrus. Resinous & Oily. One of the Big Boy DIPAs.

Woah. This bottle had some age on it and was still a powerhouse. In fact, the mellowing and blending that occurred may have made it better. Earthy hop aroma. Caramel color. Weighty palate with complimenting carbonation. Strong hoppy punch up front that lingers. Malt backbone is a great balance that also hid the alcohol well. Sharp hoppy finish. Definitely a palate wrecker.

So fucking hoppy. I had to pour it down my sink and I think it’s mad at me now. $10.

650 ml bottle from Premier Gourmet. Pours a clear orangey amber with modest-sized eggshell-coloured head. Aroma is predictably big and hoppy with lots of resin and citrus, even some peppery spice and underlying sweetish biscuit and caramel. Flavour has lots of resin, grapefruit pith, some pineapple, some pepper and a solid but understated biscuit and caramel malt character. Big body. Alcohol is really not noticeable for the ABV. Impressive.

"This beer succeeds in 2012 like the original did in the last decade. When ruination came out it was the biggest baddest iPa on the block. Then bigger hoppier brews sprang up, though ruination remained a favorite of mine. This is thicker, sweeter, hoppier, bitterier :) fruitier. Awesome huge iiPa that blends pine, citrus and a ton of tropical fruit goodness into one helluva package. Hoping for more of this bad ass beer!"

22 oz Bomber. Tasted on 9/19/14. Bottle from Total Wine Lewisville, TX. This beer has a similar aroma to Ruination but not quite as sweet on the nose. The taste was great with a ton of hop bitterness followed by a piney taste. The finsish was great & very dry for the ABV. Overall very nice.

22oz. bottle. Supremely hoppy aroma, bursting with citrus fruit, pine, floral and peppery spice tones, along with some faint peppery alcohol and mildly toasty, sweet maltiness in the background. Gently hazy light-medium amber in color with a lasting, fine head and detailed lacing. Flavor profile is intensely hop-focused, with plenty of bitter, piney, citric hop, grapefruit, alcohol, some faint countering malt sweetness in the background here as well. Finish is as hoppy as any beer I’ve had to date. Resinous, warming and moderately effervescent on the palate, absolutely huge in body and feel. This should be way overboard, but manages to remain satisfying and tasty due to its hefty balance and intense hop flavor.

Pours a clean copper color with a very dense, 1-inch, creamy, off-white head with tremendous staying power. Aroma hits your nose as soon as you pour it. Strong notes of orange citrus and pineapple with other light tropical fruit notes and a light grainy finish. Flavor has a punch of pineapple at the start and moves into a modest citrus and malty sweetness finish. Body is heavy with some fine carbonation that adds a slight creamy feeling. The alcohol is very well hidden behind the sweet hoppy flavors. Overall a good hoppy beer.

Pours copper with a 2 cm off white head. Hint of citrus hops, pine hops that vary in intensity with time. The hops linger on the tongue for many many minutes after swallowing. Not overpowering until after finishing. ---Rated via Beer Buddy
