COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
And as Stone Ruination IPA turns 10, we thought we’d make ourselves a nice little birthday present to celebrate. But what kind of selfish jerks would we be if we didn’t share?! Behold, the Stone Ruination Tenth Anniversary IPA. (Clever name, eh? That’s why us folks in the Marketing Dept. get the big bucks!) It’s an amped-up version of Stone Ruination IPA, with a bit more malt to bring the abv up from 7.7% to 10.8%, and a very heavy dose of hops. “Classic” Ruination uses 2.5 pounds of hops per barrel–which is more than double the amount we use in any other of our core beers–but for Stone Ruination Tenth Anniversary IPA, we went double again, using an impressive 5 pounds of hops per barrel, including about a pound each of Citra and Centennial in the dry hop. (Hell. Yes.)

Suggested Pairings, provided by “Dr.” Bill Sysak
Appetizers: Kimchee, ceviche, bacon-wrapped jalapeños (or habaneros)
Entrées: Salt and pepper shrimp, jambalaya, roasted pork chops with apple sauce, pineapple curry
Desserts: Apple pie with caramel sauce, toffee bars, spiced carrot cake
Cheeses: Aged Cheddar, Parmigiano-Reggiano, Roquefort, Mimolette
Cigars: Ashton Classic Majesty, Litto Gomez Diez, Don Pepin Garcia Blue Label Invictos Corojo Robusto

Bigger is sometimes better. Enjoyed spending some time with this beer. Everything I like about Ruination but amplified. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours mostly clear sunset orange with a medium white head. Smells of citrus, flowers, and a touch of mango. Taste is strongly bitter, citrus, and some sweet mango. Medium-bodied with a slick texture and mild mouth-carbonation, Stone Ruination 10th Anniversary IPA finishes with a woody dryness after a touch of bitterness.

Disclaimer: Stone Ruination is probably my favorite beer overall. That being said, this is just as good. Heavy, heavy grass and resin hops over a somewhat faint, sweet malt background. The alcohol is noticable but by no means overwhelming. This beer definitely lives up to the Stone Ruination name, I’m impressed.

Stone improved on my favorite beer by creating my new favorite beer! Hops, hops and more hops from the pour all the way to the last drop. God shall work hard to improve over this great work. Thanks God and Stone!

Aroma is amazing hoppy and honey with some malts but not as heavy as i thought it would be. Appearance is amber honey with some deep orange notes. Taste is bitter hops and then slammed with citrus orange and light lemon, somewhere in between u get honey. Im unsure where though. Palate is smooth and carbonated with some tingling on the tongue haha. Some oaky notes with more downn the gullet. Purely and simply superb beyond a measure on this app, more than worth the 13 i payed for a pint and a third. Got the last bottle and purely exstatic.

Striking fruit and hoppy aroma along with bright orange color and medium head. Fell in love from the first sip. Complex tropical fruit taste and smell. Bitterness is balanced well with the satisfaction from the other characteristics. Best beer I had so far.

I just wish this alcohol content wasn’t so high so I could drink it constantly. This may be the best brew I’ve ever tasted. I can’t imagine what this must taste like on tap.

This beer is fantastic. Probably the best of the Stone brews. It has a great malt flavor accompanied by a great hop flavor. While there are some stronger in hops or stronger in malt, this one is the greatest balance I could find. An overall exceptional IPA

Poured a slightly murky amber, white head medium sized bubbles and good lacing. Smells of citrus, undertones of pine with a strong malt base. Taste; malty and hoppy, not sure which over powers the other - it’s great, nice grapefruity bite with a piney undertones that work well with the ABV. Finish; the citrus lingers with hints of wood and alcohol.
