3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
I had this right after the Surly Syx, and I think because it didnít have the woods that that beer had, I was primed to see it as less complex. Itís darker, and the nose is bountiful (Citra is a great hop, Iím loving the trend), but for the flavor there was a little more musty/grassy quality. (Am I crazy to think thereís a little spaghetti bolognese in this?) Very good. Bottle.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bomber from Binnyís. Pours a cloudy golden color with an off white head leaving moderate lacing. Aroma of citrus big time. Such a well balanced flavor for the amount of hops used in this beer, the hops jumps out first with some nice grapefruit notes, some spice in the middle and finished incredibly smooth with a malty tone.

4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Huge hops -- grapefruit, lemon soap, apricot, stone fruit, and a burst of alcohol that shows through the hops at the commencement of the long finish. Sweetens and lightens, in a good way, from the bitterness of the first sip.

4.5 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Draft at Good Dog. Deep orange amber pour that started with thick layer of tiny white bubbles. Lots of lace. Complex mix of earthy, floral and citrus hops with a clean thick dark toffee malt background. Rich dark amber fruit. Apricot pits. Tangerine peels. Autumn leaves. Figs. Purple passionfruit. Kiwi fuzz. Celery hearts. Mango skin. Clear candy toys. Spicy chocolate caramels. Big hop flavors perfectly balanced (and not overshadowed) by smooth medium-dark caramel malts. Tremendous palate. Impressively well constructed. Pretty much as good as Imperial IPAs get!

4.5 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
This was an amazing IPA, so many tropical notes fro pineapple to grapefruit on top of piny resin, loads of citrus as well with a not so bitter finish from the amount of hops that are present

4.7 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20
Radiant orange amber. Large creamy off-white head. Ultra inviting aroma. Everything you would expect. Super hoppy. Sweet and juicy. Well balanced bitterness. So drinkable still! I thought I would find something really abrasive here but was met with beautiful nectar instead. Coulda easily finished the bomber solo. More please..

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours a deep orange and slightly hazy with a small white head. Aroma of pine, grapefruit, floral, and maybe a bit of tropical fruit mixed in. Taste is bursting with hops and grapefruit really shines. Some pine comes out too and a mild dankness. Medium body and the 10.8 is hidden fairly well. Bottled 6-30 and drank 7-4 so that was one fresh beer!

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle: 2014: clear, deep golden hue, with medium head and great lace. Massive lift. Fresh hops and almost smells like wet hopping. Floral, tropical, ripe and not reductive or rubbery. Loads of malt but hard to see under the hops. Off dry, not sour, and high bitterness. Lads of flavor, balanced, rich, long and even.
Just a massive beer with Huge flavor. Classic west Coast double IPA.
