In June 2012, we celebrated the 10th birthday of our notoriously mega-hopped double IPA, Stone Ruination IPA, with the release of a very special version that was even bigger and, incredibly, even hoppier than the original. If Stone Ruination IPA is ďA Liquid Poem to the Glory of the Hop,Ē then Stone Ruination Tenth Anniversary IPA was an amped-up heavy metal version of that ode delivered with the force of a sledgehammer. Luckily for us, our fans love loud and aggressive brews, specifically when copious amounts of humulus lupulus are involved. The original release of this beer was so instantly beloved by those who dared try it

Very sweet candied orange and caramel aromas. Some pine and lemon too. Taste is caramel with orange/lemon; and then peppery earthy hops ride with the caramel down the throat. Some alcohol warming in the chest too.

Bomber From MSM. Pours hazy reddish amber. Thick white head. Scent is very dank, grapefruit. Taste is nice and hoppy. Lots of citrus that seems to just keep on coming. Beautiful beer.

Stone is really good at showing what hops can do, and this is no exception. Big fresh hop aromas that are piney, earthy, dank, and fruity. Same big fresh hop flavors over a really well balanced, slightly sweet maltiness that is dangerously drinkable for its abv.

Bottle. Pours clear dark amber with a nice white head that leaves some lacing. Full aroma of floral hops and grass. Medium body, average carbo, heavy bitter but only some malt to even it out. Iíll have to try this again when I donít have a cold.

Bottle to snifter. Nose is a deep pithy and earthy grapefruit that singes the nose hairs. Pour is a hazy coped color with a small white head that laces well. Taste is sweet up front followed by a wallop of hop bitterness that then gets smacked around by the alcohol warming and gas. I really think my mouth could catch on fire after drinking this stuff. Aroma is grate but the overall obnoxious level of malt and alcohol and bitterness reminds me of 120 minute.

Triple IPA, huh? Letís see what you got. Pour is beautiful. This beer looks very pretty as the sunlight hits it. Deep amber in color. Aroma is sweet and boozy. I honestly donít have the best sense of smell, but my old lady likes it and itís pleasant to me. Taste is like a shotgun blast to the face. Iíve never experienced such a concentrated hop flavor. There is a warm alcohol burn at the finish, almost like cognac, brandy or a whiskey and itís not a bad thing. Pretty outstanding beer in all aspects.

Bomber (bottled 6-17-15). Pours a clear dark honey color with a medium sticky head. Nice big nose full of pine resin, big bitter citrus peel and a hint of rich bready malt. Big bitter flavors are abundant - grapefruit, orange zest, pine needles and vegetal/herbal notes. A good slyly backbone masks the high alcohol very well. Long bitter aftertaste
