In June 2012, we celebrated the 10th birthday of our notoriously mega-hopped double IPA, Stone Ruination IPA, with the release of a very special version that was even bigger and, incredibly, even hoppier than the original. If Stone Ruination IPA is “A Liquid Poem to the Glory of the Hop,” then Stone Ruination Tenth Anniversary IPA was an amped-up heavy metal version of that ode delivered with the force of a sledgehammer. Luckily for us, our fans love loud and aggressive brews, specifically when copious amounts of humulus lupulus are involved. The original release of this beer was so instantly beloved by those who dared try it

On tap at Brewhouse Brisbane 030816. This is such a big beer in every way and it is so intense that it takes a while to get through it. The best way to describe this beer is chewy, it is almost like a meal in a glass. Hops dominate everything about this beer and it is not a beer that you can drink quickly or drink a lot of.

Fat på Bryggarhunden i Götet. Doftar mycket fylligt av torkade frukter. Tydligt av Hallonbåtar också . Smaken då? Oj oj fyllig. Smakar olika godisar som den där hallonbåten men också smultrongodis? Ja tänk smultron i godisform. Låååång eftersmak å efterbeska. Och INTE för söt trots godissnajerna!! Perfekt kolsyrad. Ja faaan Peter Q denna är klart bättre än Founders Tripple .

Drank with Marijn, Bram and Lennart in the Stone brewery bar (awesome place!) in Berlin. Very nice beer. Sweet, and a bit bitter. High viscosity and very rich beer.

On tap at Stone Berlin. Dark golden with a white head. Fresh and hoppy with grapefruit, pineapple, malt, caramel. The body was full and the finish bitter. Tasty.

Bottle. Pours clear copper with a medium white head. Aroma of fine hops but there is a little skunk in the finish. Some sort of problem with the malt bill or fermentation. I’ve detected it in dozens of beers that I’ve come to know as "headache" beers, or beers that will give me a hangover well before I get drunk. The alcohol is well hidden. Finish is bitter and sour. But overall, a foul ball from an otherwise great brewer.

Blurring the line between a west coast BW and a triple ipa. Actually surpasses some that call themselves BW. Big, malty, bitter and hop aromas. Pours a dark Amber from a 22 that coats your tongue but does linger too long. Citrus and caramel. Lacy head dissipates quickly. It even works on a warm summer evening enjoyed with a Rocky Patel. Recommended.

Let’s get this one tiny negative out of the way; medicinal on the nose. All the good stuff: Intense toffee, pine and orange aromas, lesser tobacco aroma, bitterness and not too sweet. Chewy mouthfeel, finishes quick an clean. The best (and only) TIPA, DIPA or IPA I’ve ever had. One of the my top best brews and I’m so glad I did not share this. Super bonus: $10 Us for a bomber-the beer goods have smiled down upon me.

Pours a dark golden amber with a thick creamy off white head. Light carbonation with plenty of lacing. Nice strong aroma of pine and citrus. Light syrupy texture with medium bitterness. Full mouth feel with lingering flavors. Fairly smooth, warm finish. Interesting and enjoyable but a tad too bitter for me.
