Grassy, herby hop from start to a longish finish that is above average duration. Rich and intense, very enjoyable.

Jul 27, 2009 22oz. bomber. Slightly hazy golden pour with avreage off-white head. Aroma abudantly floral, with some citrus and pine. Solid malt backbone supports the incredibly complex hop character. Virtually any descriptor that can be applied to hops is in there. Huge hop prescence,yet not stingingly bitter. Sweet, oily, exceptionally pleasant. I am seriously stocking up on this at the next opportunity.

Jul 27, 2009 22 oz. bottle. Another beer I have had many times, but failed to rate. Pours a slightly hazy amber color with a medium foamy off white head. The aroma is big floral hops with some citrus and earthy character as well. The flavor has a strong bitter grapefruit with more general citrus as well. Not the most complex of DIPA’s as this one is very hop forward, but a pleasure to drink nonetheless. Medium/full bodied with a nice mouthfeel considering the IBU’s. I will be happy to continue to enjoy these from time to time in the future.

Jul 26, 2009 Bomber pour. Huge hops nose, no malt nose at all. Nice puffy white head and a tad lighter in color than expected for such a big IPA. Way too much pucker power here. I love hops and all but this is a little over the top. One + done for me. DFH 90 min smokes this.

Jul 19, 2009 Pours golden with small head. Aroma is very floral, with fruit & light grass. Taste is BITTER fruity & floral with a very solid malt base leading to a bitter dry end. Did I mention it was BITTER.

Jul 17, 2009 Just about the perfect ramped up IPA...lots of hops, great malt backbone that works in conjunction with those hops, plenty of grapefruit, orange, resins, and a candied sweetness that I find really appealing. Terrific oily, and gelatinous body, and an endless super hoppy finish. Along with Imperial Russian, the best Stone has to offer.

Jul 17, 2009 Well. This was different. I love hops and this gives you a few!!!!!!! I have never had anything like this (have not had much) before. I loved it but understand you will taste NOTHING else for some time, including very spicy cheese. I thought I like bitter but not sure how many I could handle in one sitting.....I know, wimp.......at least my wife the wine drinker did not like it which made me smile

Jul 16, 2009 Another fine brew my bro has got me into. Clear orange gold with thin to medium white head. Gorgeous aroma of grass, caramel and hops. Sweet but just the right amount, dry hop medium bitter finish. A joy to drink and easy like Sunday morning. Delicate and superbly poised like Ryan Giggs in his prime. Lovely. Oh my...
