Jul 6, 2009 12oz. bottle from Total Beverage in Westminster, CO. Pours a honey gold with a thick, lacy off-white head.
Nose of pine, hops, hops, more hops, and a bit of hops resin. Taste? You guessed it, hops. Strong piney and citrus notes from the various varieties. Obviously, a bitter start, middle, and finish.
A good IPA, but not for the faint of heart.

Jul 5, 2009 Cask conditioned at The White Horse, Parsons Green, London. Clouded gold with no head. After the standard IPA this was completely over the top, very bitter and difficult to drink. Heavy, piney grapefruit, drying. Not great.

Jul 4, 2009 pours golden with a good head that fades to give good lacing. smells of lemons, pine, hops, and a little like sweet tarts. tasteslike hops, grapefruit/citrus, and grassy hops. adftertaste is dry bitter hops. good beer.

Jul 4, 2009 Updated: Jul 5, 2009Keg, pours orange with a thin fast-clearing head. Loads of herby hops on the nose with hints of vanilla and orange, big chewy body with lots of drying bitterness and more grassy herby hops. Very nicely balanced.

Flavor: slightly sweet, citrus, pine, slight yeast finish Palate: light, crisp, clean, slightly lingering finish Overall: nice, light IPA. Well balanced. Just tried the 13th anniversary before this tasting so I may be jaded into not appreciating the hops here...

Jul 4, 2009 Bomber. Pours the color of a shiny, new penny. About 2-3 fingers of full foamy head that does an efficient job of lacing. Aroma is metalliic, hoppy, and full of roasted malt. Full hop-infested flavor, lots of standard Stone bitterness. This is a good beer. In the style, by the assorted Micro(Macro)Brews nationwide, it is one of the better to be had.

Jul 3, 2009 Purchased this at $10 a six pack as a misorder by a store. I was intrigued from the pour as it was a bright transparent liquid gold. As usual I drank the first one at room tempature which added to the appeal of the pour. At entranced IPA has a smooth flat feel but a little swoosh releases the hoppy bitter bite. Flavor like taste is piney and stongly reminicent of grapefruit. Although hoppy IPA maintains it a smooth taste and feel for a 7.7% beverage. All in all it is bold, hoppy and bitter. Did I say bitter? A good IPA; especially at 7.7% but not as complex in flavor as I had hoped for. I never thought I would say it but I miss the malty sweet touch. Nevertheless a great beer.
