mspindler (301), Alta Loma, California, USA May 18, 2009 12 oz. bottle. Pours a crystal clear golden with aggressive bubbles and a nice thick white head. Aroma is ridiculously pungent hops, mostly citrus but some pine is there too. Flavor is again a showcase of hops as malt flavor is barely apparent. Spicy, citrusy, bitter, and very, very dry. Medium bodied with alot of carbonation. The hops stick with you for hours after you’ve finished. When all I want is hops, this is what I drink. leems (147), Portland, Oregon, USA May 17, 2009 Great aroma, it’s immediately in your face with citrus hop aroma and you want to drink it. When you do you are so glad that you did that you drink more and notice the great lacing, and then more and the taste blows you away. Pretty soon it is gone and you are sad, but then you are once again happy because you realize you just had one of the best beers you have ever had, and it doesn’t hurt that you have 5 more in the fridge! GranvilleTim (465), Granville, Illinois, USA May 17, 2009 Thanks Daknole. Golden pour with a white head. Hop aroma hits you during the opening and while pouring the beer. Malt aroma is also noticeable behind the hops. Creamy tasting beer with lots of hops, not overbearing but well balanced with the malt. Hops have a little spicyness to it in the aftertaste. Nice lacing on the glass. Love the gargoyle on the bottle. Nice graphics. bleeng (587), Spring near Beersel, Texas, USA May 16, 2009 Tap at Flying Saucer Addison Texas. Nice clear amber color with a small white head. Nose is light hops, citrusy, and sweet. Taste at first is perfumy and very bitter-hops come through later. Very dry. Body is fluffy and smooth. Not a "typical" IIPA but fills the bill for a nice drinking moderate alcohol beer. shablinky (10), Durham, North Carolina, USA May 16, 2009 Great citrus hops without too much pine. Bitterness through the roof. Buy this. hopHeadedDevil (5), , North Carolina, USA does not count May 16, 2009 Citrus and floral hop aroma. Hazy orange pour with a decent off white head. Crisp, bitter hop flavor with citrus overtones. Not quite as hoppy as I’d expect given the description on the bottle. Worth the money at $16/6-pack. skmikeg (70), Poway, California, USA May 16, 2009 Pour a nice golden orange color with a linging head. Aroma of fresh hops with alot of pine, and grapefuit notes. Flavor is of crisp pine, and citrus hops with a nice malt balance. has a medium mouthfeel and a nice dry bitter finish. this is defenitly one of my favorites. PapaSkeetSkeet (65), , Massachusetts, USA May 15, 2009 I originally expected this to be like Dogfish head 90 minute IPA, but it is far from. The aroma is of a refreshing hops. Persistent white head. Taste is not overbearing despite the commercial description. Instead a strong refreshing evergreen comes through in the aftertaste, which lingers no longer than it needs to. reminds me of my christmas tree. I normally don’t go for IPA’s, but this isn’t bad.
