angrypirate06 (678), Texas, USA Mar 25, 2009 Pours a small head with a goldish yellow color. Strong floral hop aroma. Taste is hoppy with a bit of soap up front, but not as bitter as I expected. My roommate, bman1113vr says it’s not the best bottle he’s had, thinks it’s not fresh and lots of the hops have faded. Cavie (1299), Fort Worth, Texas, USA Mar 25, 2009 Hazy yellow. Lightly hopped aroma. Taste is definitely hoppy with a finish that is drying. Had the finish been better it would have improved. ben4321 (946), Rockville, Maryland, USA Mar 24, 2009 Original rating:

Overall Impression:
Really tasty IPA. Hoppy beer with a nice piney flavor. Enjoyed this one a lot. Stone is a seriously good brew house.
Updated rating to cover all categories:
Location: 3/24/09, 6 pack of 12 oz bottles from Gilly’s, poured this one into one of those Sam Adams bubble glasses
Aroma: Really great nose, smell is all Pine, grass, earth, with plenty of hops, and just a touch of citrus
Appearance: Good looking clear orange beer, thin head
Flavor: Basically a hops explosion on the tongue, earthy hops, a little floral, just a touch of sweet
Palate: Wonderful palate, medium body, with a great mouthfeel that really enhances the beer
Overall Impression:
I love this one, an incredible IPA, right up there with the best I’ve ever tried. Strong, hoppy beer that translates well across the tongue. Dastrn (115), Warsaw, Indiana, USA Mar 23, 2009 orange-gold with a small, thin head
the nose was orange, sweet-grass, pineapple
taste was gorgeously hoppy! 90 IBUs? 100? It’s a veritable hop explosion!
Crisp mouthfeel hides what malts are there and emphasizes the hops even more.
What a beer! Almost too bitter to drink, and yet I can’t stop sipping! beerlud (22), Pennsylvania, USA Mar 23, 2009 Pours a very light orange. Big floral and citrus hops, and honey on the nose! Perfectly rounded nose! Very clean and crisp. Flavor holds to the citrus floral hops, pepper, and a bitterness that subdues the malts. Very easy to drink! jrmac (210), USA Mar 22, 2009 Damn good IPA. Pours from the bomber a nice golden color with a nice white foam. On the nose it is hops and citrus. On the palate it is citrus hop bitterness and subdued malt. All in all A great summer beer. peter48er (127), Liverpool, Merseyside, England Mar 22, 2009 12 fl oz bottle purchased via Beers of Europe. Pours a golden/yellow colour with a thin white head which lasted halfway down the glass. Full on hops in both the arroma & the tase, with a balancing sweetness which makes tihis emminently drinkable. A really good example of the style of which I am becoming a strong fan, the more of these USA craft IPAs I drimk. TheSponge (269), Lynnwood, Washington, USA Mar 22, 2009 22 oz. bottle purchased at Food Emporium in Everett, WA. Pours a beautiful orange/yellow color. Flavor: Grapefruit, strong hops, and pine. One again, I’m a big fan of IPAs and this one is pure awesome.
