4.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
UPDATED: JUN 19, 2005 The name fits. If you like hops, it may ruin all other beers for you. Everyone writes of the hops, from the aroma to the bitter finsh but there is a good malt balance that makes this a great beer.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
22 oz. bottle. Pours a beautiful golden amber in color with a decent off-white head. You can smell the ridiculous amount of hops. The hops are also, obviously, quite apparent in the flavor. However, I think that Stone may have overdone this one. The bitterness really does ruin your taste buds.....at least they warn you!

Wow can you smell those hops. Fantastic. The head is nothing but hops. This reminds a lot of this HopGod microbrew I had at Boscos when I lived in Nashville. For the hop-lovers, which include me, this is true greatness. A smaller bottle would be my only request, so the portion is not so large.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Golden colour. Big citrusy Cascade nose along with a nutty(Centennial?) hop tone as well. Mouthfeel is big, richly hoppy and finishes with a mouthcoating bitterness. Add a little more flavouring hops and there is better balance.

4.6 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20
Golden colour with a sparkling white head with some lacing. Agressive hoppy cascade nose with some nutty hints. Hoppy, flowery almost perfume like flavour. Extreme bitter palate. Medium bodied. Aftertaste is present for at least an hour.

4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Clear copper appearance with a large white head and some serious lacing. Big citrusy, piney aroma, with softer fruit becoming more pronounced as it settled back to room temperature. I know there’s some malt in there, but the imbalance was overwhelmingly hoppy. A tiny bit of sweetness showed up near the finiish. Medium-to-full bodied mouthfeel that was surprisingly smooth given the intense bitterness.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Pale golden with a half inch of head. Lacing is prevalent and sticks to the glass. Aromas are strong with apricot and orange, underscored by a spicy, cinnamon?, hop nose. Flavor is an explosion of hops, bitter and clean, followed by a robust fruit palate. Finish is soapy and, again, bitter, with a lasting spicy hop sensation. A very symmetrical beer.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
bottle. I got this nearly six months ago in Phoenix, it held up quite well. orange body, slightly hazy. explosive hop aroma with the Stone character yeastiness. Also notes of lemon/citrus. Big hoppy body which is no surprise! Some cheesy yeast notes. I liked it!
