3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
12 fl oz bottle sample via Piscator34. Pours a moderately hazy yellow with a medium size off-white head. Aromas are tropical fruit, some earthy/grassy notes, and a little funk. Tastes are assertive resiny bitterness, and then some more assertive resiny bitterness, followed by...well you get the point. Moderately creamy mouthfeel, dry astringent bitterness from start to finish. A little much for my tastes.

A beautiful beer. All that is right with a DIPA. Hops and malt blended to perfection.

Very nice ipa. Has a high ibu count but doesn't taste like it. Surprising smooth and easy to drink. If it was so filling i could easily overdo it with this beer

Strange to be challenged with a taste that first impression I did not like only to be won over by its intensity and uniqueness. Pungent. Complex. Surprising. Pushing my envelope from bitterness standpoint but still judge as a buy again favorite

4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
pours a golden straw with thin fine head. lacing is nice and lasting. aromas or lots of hops with some pine. taste is hops right away, balance is nice and finish is pine and floral/bitter hops. Mouthfeel is nice and full but not too heavy, not too much carboniation. Balance is key here, awesome ipa here. Near perfect but could be perfect with more complex hops.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours the usual hazy orange for a DIPA, the malt on the nose is eclipsed by nasal-searing hops, the palate is a nice balance of cooked marmalade and pin-pricking hops, finishing clean with a crafty hiding of the 7.7% ABV. If you are a West Coast hop head, this is your sacrament.

4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
A: Hazy Orange Hue, Passes Very Little, Mild White Ring, Minimal Lacing
S: Citrusy, Floral, Mild Resin, Mild Sweet Bread
T: Citrus/Resin, Mildly Bready
M: Average Carbonation, Medium Bodied, Bitter, Drying
Overall, a really solid DIPA with a ’solid Ruination backbone with the dry hop finish’.

This stuff is clumsy and one note. There is no craft to it only excess. it hits you right away with extreme bitterness that overpowers you taste buds. reminds me of very dark roast coffee, if you get the analogy. def not saying it has any notes of coffee to the taste, just the analogy. stone has many delicious offerings, this is not one.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Great foggy golden/straw color with bright white lacing. Extremely floral & hoppy smell.. You can almost smell the bitterness thru your nose. Taste is well, very bitter & floral. Not a whole lot of room here for any citrusy tastes with how hopped it is. Alcohol is very well blended for how high it is. Great beer & very drinkable. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

4.1 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Powerfully bitter aroma, with pine, fruit, and caramel malt. Flavor is bitter but surprisingly smooth, with some caramel and bread hanging in there with the flowery, fruity, pine bitterness. More bitterness in the finish, along with peppery spice and some drying alcohol. Not for everybody, but a really, really good choice if you’re into IPAs.
