So called because of the immediate ruinous effect on your palate. 100+ IBUs. Bracingly bitter. Thick, pungent hop aroma. We would say that no hops were injured in the brewing of this beer, but that would be a massive lie. In fact, the words "Stone Ruination IPA" are what older hop vines use to cause little hop vines to quiver with fright and lose sleep at night . We at Stone honor the brutal massacre of countless hops with this "Liquid poem to the glory of the hop!" Paganism at its best!

Poured from a bomber with a enjoy by date of 12/4/14. Aroma - Some tropical notes - pretty faint but there. Appearance - slightly clear golden pour with nice bubbles coming up. Taste - Fantastic. Tropical fruit heaven. Right up in my wheelhouse. Palate - Great lingering taste. Light body with a thin oily texture. Plenty of carbonation. Overall - Another gem from Stone. Not sure why I waited so long to try this. Top notch.

Pours a hazy gold color with nice lacing and fair head retention. Smells of honeysuckle and is slightly floral. Tastes about the same. A solid ipa and kind of tastes like a DIPA.

Nice #hoppy #aroma with about an inch head. Bitter hoppy taste in your mouth. Going down it gets more bitter and it ends with a strong hop taste. Great #beer.

Aroma of pine citrus and a whiff of biscuit malt. The taste follows with a swelling dank pine bitterness that uses up the entire malt backbone to stay balanced on a dime. Not sure if this is more ingredients of what makes their IPA or something different. This is a solid double IPA.

Pours a moderately hazy golden amber with a big white head that slowly shrinks and leaves tons of lace. Aroma is tropical fruits, sweet oranges, and grapefruit peel. Flavour is grapefruit, tropical fruits, resin, mild sweet orange, medium lingering bitterness and a good dry finish.

Massively bitter brew with loads of pine and resin. Good, sturdy body to lean on but it still gets just a bit too much. No alcohol on nose or palate.
