4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Deep golden color with a white head. The taste is a full body with a very balanced yet complex hoppy pattern. A light alcohol sharpness really fits this bitter beer.

4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
UPDATED: MAY 30, 2005 Big bottle. This beer blew me away. Huge hops, grapefruit aroma, flavor and after taste. Liquid gold. Followed this one with a GreatDivide Hercules - and Herc couln’t touch this one. Some time will have to put Ruination up against DFH 90 (hate to say it, but my money is on Ruination).
5-30-05: Lots of DIPAs lately - and I’m upgrading Stone’s Ruiniation.

4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
UPDATED: JAN 4, 2005 Hazy gold color with a small white head.
Strong hop aroma along with pine notes and citrus. Flavor is all hops! A little bit of malt sweetness on the finish but the
hops dominate here. Could be a little more balanced but who cares? This is a

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle: Aroma is all hops. Strong grapefruit and equally strong pine. Pours a transparent orange without much of a head. Lacing is there, but nothing special. Not a whole lot of flavor in the initial taste, but great balance of citrus hops and sweet malts in the finish. No real sweet presence at all in the aroma, but very noticeable in the flavor. Alcohol flavor is noticeable in the finish as well and could possibley be covered up a little better. Long bitter aftertaste. A little over the top, but still good. I prefer the regular IPA.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
A clear orange beer with a disappearing white head. The aroma is very grass and hoppy on a sweet background. The flavor is sweet caramelic with loads of grass and hops, besides hints of alcohol. A lovely 2IPA. Thanks to Dave (Rodolita) for trading this one.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Pours a clear light copper color with great head and lacing. Resiny pine and some floral/citrus notes in the nose. Intense bitterness in the front end that flows into a earthy and grapefruit flavor. Edgy at first and then becomes smooth at the finish. This is a very enjoyable double IPA.

4.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
suprisingly light gold in color, belies the
sensory facts about to confront you. Definately reveals all that hops have to offer in terms of aroma, fruit, and astringent bitterness.

4.5 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 19/20
Makes a fluffy white head, with a nice pale golden body, nice lacing on the glass. Nice floral aromatics, piney hops, sweet malts, very balanced nose. Starts out bitter as f*ck, then enter sweetness and piney flavor, its yummy. Bitter dry finish, alcohol is there but not overdone. Medium body coats the mouth nicely and leaves a light sticky reside on the throat. This one is spot on, the ABV is just right in that you could enjoy a few of these and not completely leave yourself face down, dick in the dirt. Praise Stone.

4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Pours golden yellow/light orange with a creamy white head that lasts a long time and leaves a lacing on the glass. Beautiful beer. Aroma is strong and hoppy, as it should be. Very refreshing. Taste is similar to Stone’s IPA, but smoother, creamier, and more drinkable. There is not that as strong of an aftertaste as one would expect. Body is pretty full. Overall, an excellent brew for hopheads.

4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
GABF 2004. Orangish-amber with a massive, frothy head. Head lasts the entire way down the glass. Huge hop aroma, fresh pine trees, resin, grapefruit, and oranges. Heavy, nay, massive bitterness is long lasting and nearly tear inducing. Full, slightly oily and slick mouthfeel. Wow, what a rush. Definitely needs a stronger malt backbone, however. This is just too much. The hops nearly blew the back of my head off.
