Commercial Description:
So called because of the immediate ruinous effect on your palate. 100+ IBUs. Bracingly bitter. Thick, pungent hop aroma. We would say that no hops were injured in the brewing of this beer, but that would be a massive lie. In fact, the words "Stone Ruination IPA" are what older hop vines use to cause little hop vines to quiver with fright and lose sleep at night . We at Stone honor the brutal massacre of countless hops with this "Liquid poem to the glory of the hop!" Paganism at its best!

Very bitter but overall very drinkable. I found it to be well-balanced between bitter and sweet, really, though, yeah, it might not be a suitable beer for those that don’t like strong IPAs. The hopping was perfect. This may be my new favorite beer.

This is my first rating so please go easy on me guys and gals. The instant aroma for me was very earthy. Coloring is a light amber with a surpsingly bitter taste. The robust flavor is quite hoppy and a distinct after taste that lingers. I enjoyed this beer greatly for trying it for the first time and not knowing quite what to expect.

A personal favorite of mine. Pours a clear honey amber with little to no head. Very hoppy aroma, almost piney. Strong bitter taste that coats your palate completely and allows the taste to last quite some time. The bitterness is complimented very well with a more roasted, deep after taste. Very poppy mouthfeel from the bitterness, not so much from the carbonation. My favorite IPA.

Bottle, pours dark copper. Grassy hop aroma with citrus notes. Yes this beer captures the essence of hops. It is balanced with caramel notes.

Now this is a very well self explained beer. Pours a hazy orange with thick white head. Aroma of hops, hops, hops, and some grass and citrus. Flavor is dominated by hops, but grass and caramel are apparent also. Strong bitter aftertaste sticks around for a while. A nice brew, but not one that I would drink very often.

12 oz bottle poured into a pint glass. Pours a pale orange with frothy white head. Aroma is of course extremely hoppy, a lot of pine and citrus. Very biting aroma, not a lot of sweetness to balance it out. Taste is more of the same...very bitter, with big hop bite and pine/citrus taste. A bit of malt to balance, but not as much as something like HopSlam. Definitely a "west coast" DIPA, with much more bite and not as much balance. Crisp, carbonated mouthfeel. Pretty quenching, and becomes more balanced as I drink it and it airs out. Very nice DIPA, but definitely an acquired taste.

Bottle, slightly chilled. Pours into a pint glass a golden orange, with a finger-thick, creamy white head that settles in for the long haul. Nose is very citrusy...in fact quite a bit more fruity than most IPAs I’ve sampled, with the requisite pine and hops. Tastes of the same, with some grapefruit coming through. A lingering caramel note hangs on the palate. Wonderful IPA.
