Dmalone102 (215), Denver, Colorado, USA Feb 1, 2009 A hop lovers IPA. It is a beautifully amber IPA with Citrusy hops everywhere, aroma and taste. Definately one to savor. Allen (1282), Switzerland Feb 1, 2009 Beer trade with nearbeer. Aroma: Huge amount of quinces in the nose. Otherwise rather boring. Taste and palate: Good bitterness. Quinces dominating. Pleasant finish. Overall impression: A bit dissappointing. The flavor is slightly better than the aroma. Thanks a lot nearbeer! whatalesya (20), , North Carolina, USA Jan 31, 2009 Pours a dark golden orange, fairly clear, with a solid 2 finger head. Strong flowery hop in the nose and a bit piney. Taste has a pronounced hop edge to it, with some citrus notes, but not overly bitter as the malt tempers the hop twang enough to smooth things out a bit. Medium body with good carbonation. Lingering bittersweet finish. Hopheads may think they’ve found Nirvana. OSLO (825), Perth, Australia Jan 30, 2009 [Bottle] Pours deep golden with a medium-small white head. Huge hop aroma--citrus and grassy. Very nice. Really bitter taste with the malt in there, and showing up after the initial bitter blast. Medium mouthfeel with a long, dry finish. Loved the aroma, but the taste was lacking enough where I couldn’t go any higher with the score. Bov (5403), Bienne, Switzerland Jan 30, 2009 courtesy of Allen - hazy orange colour with a little white head; aroma of apricot and quinces; quite perfumy; full-bodied and very bitter, aggressive; dry and very bitter fruity finish - terribly one-dimensional and quite a deception considering the high score on ratebeer phish410 (3), Brown Deer, Wisconsin, USA does not count Jan 28, 2009 Really enjoyed this double. Everything an IIPA should be; crisp flavor and finish, nice and hoppy, some tones of fruit and flora. Nice color, too, but that’s not why I buy it... It’s delicious. Jonte (801), Gothenburg, Sweden Jan 28, 2009 Bottle. Golden orange colour with a fluffy white head. Aroma: floral, fruity, a bit nutty, and very hoppy.Taste: First fruity and a bit sweet, then very hoppy and bitter. Notes of citrus, pine, fruitiness, wood and grass. Balanced by just a bit of sweet malt. Oily mouthfeel. Bitter and dry finish. ironchefscott (341), portland, Oregon, USA Jan 28, 2009 a solid iipa...tons of citrusy hops and on the more bitter side of the iipa’s ...just like they say it can ruin your tastebuds..but it is not as hop heavy as say a hop wrecker or a hopsickle
