May be why I couldn’t pick up much aroma. Appearance is a medium-deep gold with a very faint orange. Initially a medium-heavy creamy head that eventually fell to medium-small, leaving slight lace. Mouth feel is initially smooth followed by a slightly more aggressive tingle. Flavor is obviously hop dominated with a hint of what may be caramel. Bitterness sets in, and although it is strong it isn’t quite ruinatingly bitter. Overall its an extremely enjoyable beer and probably one of my top 5 favorites at the time of this writing. marchcow (664), Coralville, Iowa, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jan 5, 2009 Rich creamy malt and hops aromas. Pine and pineapple with some fruity sweetness. Clear amber/orange with lightly off white head. Good malty backbone with rich sweet middle and solid bitter hoppy finish. Well balanced. Some spiced cake and cookie and a light woodiness. Farily thick but not too much so. Some creaminess. Hoppy duration mellows to a candied sugary finish. Quite good. finol (486), Nacka (Stockholm), Sweden

Pours unclear orange. Hoppy and buttery aroma. Feels a bit like toothpaste, agresive citrus. A lot of bitterness as promised. It didn´t just "immediate ruin" my palate but I still felt the hops affect on my toung at noon the folowing day. mikalooch (163), , New Jersey, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Jan 4, 2009 Pours a hazy orange with a frothy white head. Can smell hops with a bit of citrus. Can taste hops with faint hints of pine and orange, maybe some malt. Very sharp flavor, almost numbs the tongue. Thin mouthfeel, the bitterness pretty much takes over everything. I like, worth a try for AB fans. maugus4ever (121), Winston-Salem, North Carolina, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jan 4, 2009 Pours a hazy copper with a big off-white head. Pungent aroma of citrus hops. Very hoppy seemed to lack the malt balance I was hoping for. Great brew for any hop heads out there. Definitely worth trying. hirigalzkar (558), Stockholm, Sweden
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Jan 4, 2009 Bottle. Orange color. Semi hazy. Smells butter, caramel, lots of hops. The flavor is a little too aggressive. The bitterness of the hops kills all the flavor. Ljunkan (381), Karlstad, Sweden

Aroma is hoppy, but otherwhise the first I noticed was the malty caramel notes. Hops dominates though: citrus, grapefruit, resin, apricot and mostly pine needles.
Flavour is hoppy and very aromatic with lots of pine needles, resin, citrus, apricot, grapefruit and some malty caramel. More malty then expected, not that hop bomb I expected but on the other hand balanced. Very american, very enjoyable, very balanced... yet brutal, evil & aggresive.
Fullbodied, quite much carbonation, but on the other hand smooth. Long, bitter finish. Extremely filling & thick.
I have had it three times now (in three weeks). It’s definitely very amazing, I love DIPAS. It has grown own during the latest tastings. I hope I will get this again.
First rating was like 8/5/9/4/18=4,3. Now it’s like 9/5/9/4/18=4,5. scoth (274), Fort Collins, Colorado, USA
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 3/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Jan 3, 2009 Pours clear, gold-amber, with a medium white head, good lacing. Thick floral aroma, big pine and grapefruit. Medium body, dry and crisp. Very slight caramel malt flavor, the hops really stand out, very bitter and complex, more citrus than pine with an enduring aftertaste.
