Commercial Description:
So called because of the immediate ruinous effect on your palate. 100+ IBUs. Bracingly bitter. Thick, pungent hop aroma. We would say that no hops were injured in the brewing of this beer, but that would be a massive lie. In fact, the words "Stone Ruination IPA" are what older hop vines use to cause little hop vines to quiver with fright and lose sleep at night . We at Stone honor the brutal massacre of countless hops with this "Liquid poem to the glory of the hop!" Paganism at its best!

Bottle into Sniffer. Pours Golden with a nice white head. Smells of floral hops are most prominent with some yeast. All hops taste. Goes down super smooth, leaving a bitter after taste. Very nice beer, but not as good as a 90 min.

Pale cider color with slight translucence, varied efferevescence in head with equal parts cream and sparseness, sweet citrus aroma, immediate hop smack with an assaultive bitterness that lingers on that palate long after tasting. Overpowering but a must try for hop heads.

I’m not the hugest IPA fan, so I have to give this a somewhat below average rating. It wasn’t overly bitter, but I prefer less bitter IPA’s

Slightly cloudy dark yellow / orange beer with lacey white head that disappears quickly. Strong bitterness from the hops. Strong aftertaste, piney and sort of soapy. Aroma has a bouquet of hops as well as some cereal grains.

Aroma is strong and richly hoppy, promising a seriously hoppy beer - should whet any hop lover’s beer appetite. Color is a clear honey-golden, and off-white head is thick and fairly persistent. Flavor is ferociously hoppy and quite bitter, but has a hint of sweetness and even a bit of fruity taste. Texture is fairly smooth, but it still goes down with an attitude and leaves a pleasantly bitter, hoppy aftertaste. Recommended for all who love seriously hoppy ales.

On tap does not look anything special but this is a great beer. Over the top bitterness but in a special way. Just enough alcohol and carmel sweetness to give it some balance. Almost has that wet fresh hop finish.

12 oz. bottle. This beer offers no quarter and expects none in return. Pours a slightly orange-gold and clear. Lacy white head that quickly dwindles into an isle of bubbles. Megahops - resinous pine, earthy, and citrus - in the aroma with maybe a scintilla of malt sweetness begging for attention over the clamor. Taste is a hop bomb that lasts forever. Surprisingly carbonated for a DIPA and drinkable on the palate. A beer that provides proof of life.

Pours a nice colden to copper color with an offwhite head great fresh hop aroma piney grassy not as much cascade as one might suspect more in the spirit of the english hop varieties only complaint is alack of malt charecter could be because I drank this following a old gaurdian barley wine. Awesome aroma less hop flavor than Deschuttes HopHenge but still really good.
