doboy (175), Morehead City, North Carolina, USA Sep 25, 2008 At a tasting at Priscillas in Morehead City, NC. Got it before the Stone IPA, ruined the IPA for me!!! Hoppy aroma was definately floral, piney. Head disipated to a nice lace. Hop taste was outstanding with an excellent floral taste. Left me wanting more. Very well balanced. TheRealBastard (141), The-No, California, USA Sep 25, 2008 Great beer, just don’t let is warm too much. Super smooth when ice cold, when the temp rises becomes a serious problem w/this one. Pine, hops, cirtrus, and tangy peaches are the aroma and taste flavors I pull. Get this bad boy on tap; fuckin amazing brew from one of the best! agillespie81 (190), Denver, Colorado, USA Sep 22, 2008 Deep copper color......very fluffy head. Extremely floral, complex aroma of hops. Intense hop flavor hits in the front......slightly crisp mouthfeel. Flavor gradually mellows throughout the back. Finish has a long, lingering hop taste, with subtle citrus notes. Very unique IPA......powerful hop flavor without an overpowering hop taste. EHopper (274), Minnesota, USA Sep 21, 2008 The beautiful clear golden orange color melds quickly with an overwhelmingly enticing citrus aroma. So refreshing that it sends a shiver up my spine. The flavor is sharp and bitter, very grassy with unripe grapefruit and orange peel. It leaves a dryness in the mouth that is probably an acquired taste. You probably need to really like this type of beer to like this beer. I really like this beer. rds (224), USA Sep 21, 2008 Pours a misty gold with a nice lacy near white head, this is the epitome of bitter hops. Like it or not, it’s here with no apologies. Not my favorite style, but my favorite within the style.
pours ma misy gold mar (1740), Rowlett, Texas, USA Sep 21, 2008 bottle thanks to tizzlejizzle. golden pour with no real head just a ring of white froth. huge piney hops on the nose. very smooth on the palate with a great piney hop flavor with no bitterness in the finish at all. kiefdog (1534), Tampa, Florida, USA Sep 19, 2008 Bottle courtesy of markwise. Pours a caramel golden with one finger white head. Excellent retention and lots of lacing on the glass. Aroma is honey, sweet malt, grapefruit, hops, bitterness. Flavor is much of the same with notes of spice and honey. Medium body with a big hoppy finish. Nice ale. BeerBunker (594), Burbank, Illinois, USA Sep 18, 2008 Pours orangish with a white head. Aroma is of citrus fruit, bitter hops, and malts. Taste starts off with a strong amount of bitterness from the hops, which is then evened out by the taste of malts and sugars. A lingering sweetness lasts long after each sip. It wasn’t as bitter as I had anticipated, instead it was smooth and very drinkable. I Would gladly drink this any time.
