So called because of the immediate ruinous effect on your palate. 100+ IBUs. Bracingly bitter. Thick, pungent hop aroma. We would say that no hops were injured in the brewing of this beer, but that would be a massive lie. In fact, the words "Stone Ruination IPA" are what older hop vines use to cause little hop vines to quiver with fright and lose sleep at night . We at Stone honor the brutal massacre of countless hops with this "Liquid poem to the glory of the hop!" Paganism at its best!

Bottle. Aroma is flowerish, some dough. Taste is molassess, pine juice, resin, some tea, some hibiscus. Preppy and dry finish. Nice!

From bottle, poured lighter than expected with good hop aroma. Plenty of hop variety in the flavour and underpinned with good bitterness. A complex yet balanced IPA; not sessionable but you’d enjoy a couple.

- Nose: salted caramel malt, with pine-y background and occasional hint of Seville orange zest - Body: Slightly creamy (you can feel high ABV) but still feels quite high in the mouth. Really big/harsh grapefruit + pine hops. - Finish: long finish; hops + caramel malts tangle a bit but hops win out; are they almost too bitter? - Hop-xplosive! I prefer Stone IPA’s hop-malt balance. If that offends hop heads, sorry. I’ll drink more of this in order to see your POV

i think it smells really malty to be honest, amber gold body with some white lacing, sweet grapefruit leads into the hop bitterness, rather good but need more actual flavour!

A murky copper colour with a long lasting off white head. Getting stone fruit and pine on the nose, a bit of citrus thrown in too - pretty hefty. This is so incredibly smooth. There’s the usual pine and resin culprits to taste - the big hop flavour makes it hard to pin point any particular flavours; it’s just big. That’s not to say the balance isn’t there - plenty of malt back end to round it out and dull down the harsh a little. Velvet finish - which is really saying something, given the barrage of bitterness leading into it. Well carbonated and good thickness. Sweet.

Poured honey gold with no head into a taster. The nose shows a lot of pine & mango with some sweet malts. The palate is medium bodied with light carbonation showing flavors of lightly juicy pineapple. Simple & easy IPA.

Bottle. Pale colour, massive piney aroma. A perfect west coast imperial ipa.

Bottle 355ml. Pours copper hazy with a fairly dense head. Thick aroma, almost a bit salty with lots of hops and some malty caramel notes. Taste reflects the aroma with the addition of herbs and licquorice. Looong bitter finish.

On tap 0,33l at Beer Temple, Amsterdam. Pours a copper colour and leaves a nice lacing that stays. Aroma of citrus, tropical fruits, grapefruit, pine, floral notes, hint of caramel malt, massive hops. Taste is light sweet with a long bitter finish. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

opalescent deep golden with a fading pillowy off white head, good lacings. A bit resinous, spruce/pine light earthy and citrus zest with a faint hue of caramel. Softly carbonated with a stingy presence, rather slick yet light texture and a medium body. Very swift buiscuity malt sweetness builds up a resinous, spruce hop bitterness. This builds and builds going into a dry astringency. Bone splitting dry lasting finish. Interesting.
