ONUpharmD (5), Carroll, Ohio, USA does not count Aug 4, 2008 This was the best IPA I’ve ever had. Had it on tap from Barley’s Ale House. Pour a golden honey color with a wonderful citrusy, floral aroma. Great taste of hops and a very floral, herby flavor. Great beer. Will definitely drink again. kegbear (265), Orange, California, USA Aug 3, 2008 Fresh bottle. Honey amber color with small white head. Arome of pine, citrus and hops. Tastes of citrus, pine with a malt smoothness. Finishes bitter and dry with a lingering aftertaste. One of the best IPAs I had. happybear (2), Southampton, Pennsylvania, USA does not count Aug 3, 2008 excllent offering for a Double IPA. Bright floral taste and instant hoppiness. Will not be ignored with high abv and slight bite on finish. Gives me good reason to drive to NJ to buy in 22oz. kosko20 (302), Bemidji, Minnesota, USA Aug 1, 2008 Updated: Aug 3, 2008I love IPAs and the hops and the bitters. Finally get to try this, thanks Ed! (Heritage Liquor in Minneapolis). Aroma: pine, hops, hints of citrus. Appearance: cloudy orange with white head that fades. Flavor: HOPS, hints of pine and malt. Palate: lovely, not thick, not thin, obviously bitter and finishes with a small bite. Overall, complex and very enjoyable. Underhook (162), Lincoln Park, New Jersey, USA Jul 31, 2008 Updated: Sep 24, 2008Unbelievably hoppy. Strong grassy, herby smell. Excellent, mouth-wetting aroma. One of the best noses I’ve tried. One of the better imperial IPAs I’ve tried. Doesn’t quite compare to the Dogfish head 90 minute or Lagunitas Maximus, despite the higher IBU count. DFH/Maximus both have more of a fruity, complex, complete taste. For true hopheads, this beer can’t be ignored. Svesse (2596), Hässelby, Sweden Jul 31, 2008 (Bottle, Oliver Twist, Stockholm, 30 July 2008) Pale amber colour with foamy, white head. Fruity, hoppy nose with notes of citrus, apricots, rubber and loads of piney, resiny hops. Fruity, hoppy taste with citrus (grapefruit, orange peel), pine needles and resin, loads of hops in a long, bitter finish. Solid malt with caramel notes. Lovely hop bomb in perfect harmony. Possibly a hop heads wet dream. Great stuff! TEJA (281), Stockholm, Sweden Jul 30, 2008 A big foam forms as you pour this nectar in your glass. A rather light golden colour of beer appears as the beer sets in your glass. The first smell of hops attacks you as you take a first sniff of the beer. The tast of the hops then attacks your tastebuds as you take the first sip. The taste then turns to a firm bitterness as the beer drains down your throuth. There is still some sweetness in the background but it is almost coverd by the long lasting bitterness of the nice hops. chrisafari (100), Orange, California, USA Jul 29, 2008 Pours light amber orange with thin white head. Sweet aroma of citrus and hops. Flavor begins citrusy and roasty sweet and finishes with a great dry kick of hops. Ruination is always a winner in my book.
