nqualls (1429), Nashville, Tennessee, USA Jul 28, 2008 Bought a sixer from Chuck’s Liquor in Bowling Green. Pours a clear orange color, with almost no head. Citrus and earthy aroma. Totally destroys the tastebuds...just like I like them. Great beer. dchmela (1406), Orlando, Florida, USA Jul 28, 2008 Thanks to my Secret Santa for the hook up. orange amber pour with a thick white head. Big citrus, grapefruit, pine aroma. Huge bitter hop taste, lots of grapefruit, pine and chewy hops and a hint of malt. Leaves behind a glorious bitter hoppy aftertaste. aleyin (14), Murrieta, California, USA Jul 27, 2008 22Oz bottle. Hoppy aroma.Classic golden tan with a bit of red. Off white head. Plenty of hops with good overall balance as some malt shows up. Grapefruit and some pleasant bitterness so you don’t forget this is an IPA. The bottle doesn’t actually say this is a double IPA but Stone’s ID does. I won’t argue with that. Another Stone great. Zbong (38), Lansing, Michigan, USA Jul 27, 2008 Very good brew. Hops, hops, hops. The good thing about it though is that the beer is very hoppy, but not so much to the point I don’t want to drink it. Another classic from stone! Mette (224), Frederiksberg, Denmark Jul 27, 2008 Drukket i gode venners lag i Sunes sommerhus. Orange let uklar med lille hvidt skum. Græs. let kage, fyrnåle, maltet og let sæbe. Massiv humle i smagen og eftersmagen. gameface23 (131), Haverhill, Massachusetts, USA Jul 27, 2008 Updated: Sep 8, 2008Pours a dark gold with a nice sized head. Nose of pine and grapefruit. The taste had a sweet start and a sour, syrupy finish. At times, it had an ice wine feel to it. Very good. GJF (480), Cedar Rapids, Iowa, USA Jul 26, 2008 A fabulous beer. I was surprised the hop flavor wasn’t more overpowering from everything I’d heard, but to me it was just perfect. A nice dry hoppiness that kept going forever: a long, long, clean, dry hoppy finish. Yummm, I could drink this beer forever. . . thejoeshow (232), Saint Paul, Minnesota, USA Jul 25, 2008 22 oz bottle. Pours a nice orange/gold color with an aggressive white head that produces wonderful lacing all the way down the glass. Aroma is of citrus hops mainly, hints of soap and some scents that remind me of cheesy pasta...? wtf? I’m not sure what it is but that is what I get. Anyway, it smells wonderful regardless. Lots of citrus flavors backed with a nice dose of malt. The malt tastes almost like freshly ground grain. It’s the taste I get in my mouth when I walk into the grain room at my local homebrew store. Very nice! Mouthfell is just right and finishes perfectly. This is definitely one of the best IPAs I have ever had the pleasure of drinking.
