3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
UPDATED: JUN 4, 2014 Look: pours a light orange color. Extremely clear. Small head that doesn't hang around long. Head is bright white
Smell: extreme dank smell. Very sweet smell. Slight alcohol smell. Grapefruit. Smell cat pee.
Taste: skunk smell. Slight peppery feel. Definite bitterness to it. Slight line notes to it. Cat pee in a good way.
Feel: good carbonation. Leaves a film in your mouth. Definitely a dry beer.
Overall: bitterness and dryness make you want to go back for another drink. Good go to beer for the summer.

4.6 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20
Appearance- ivory white foamy head that lasts for a good bit. Decent lacing left behind. Semi clear/semi cloudy golden hue.
Smell- sweet notes of honey with a floral touch. A little light citrus tinge.
Taste- loads of piney hops, citrus, and a bitter resin finish.
Mouthfeel- very full, very bitter, very spicey. Big, big bite!
Overall- an excellent brew! One of my favorites. Definitely not an entry level IPA, so anyone drinking it (or reading/reviewing it) likely isnít a craft beer rookie. I enjoy it as much as some of the other top notch releases that are limited/seasonal, so love that itís a year round offering.

650 mL bottle supplied by my step-dad last night. I appreciate it; thanks. Consumed as I attentively watched Boston Legal while a Maine coon loudly purred on my lap. To oversized snifter, it pours a bright amber orange with which a white-ringed head 1 finger in length stood. Aromas of juniper berries, rosemary tips, lime meat, sweat, Bible paper, endive seeds, grinded garlic, and russet potatoes. Tastes the same with the addition of sakť lees, cardboard, hop pellets, sourdough, green olives, and Red Star yeast flakes. A delicate kiss of smoke, candle wax, spent grain, and rutabaga experienced by swallow. Mmm, mmm, mmm.

22 FL. OZ ($6.99) Pretty good but nothing too special and Stone makes better beers than this. A decent 8.2% so its at least going to get the job done.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 12/20
On tap. I consider(ed) myself a hophead, but this was a bit too much. Extremely bitter, almost salty. It did actually ruin my taste bud, so it lived up to its name. On the positive side, the beer has one hell of a palate: oily and thick. Perhaps, I shouldnít have gone for this as my fourth IPA for the night ...

4.8 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 20/20
Can you say hops? You will know the words after having this beer. Aroma is wafts of hops. Translucent copper with a thin tight lace of head. This beer is bitter. A little on the side of too bitter and my only complaint, the hoppy flavor is masked by the bitterness, and thus the beer robs itself. Its a great beer but not a daily enjoyer.

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Appearance: light golden colour. Head is two fingers of off white foam, a bit curdly in the middle. Very little sediment in the bottle and none in the glass. Aroma: pine needless, lime peelings and a faint floor cleaner. Taste: moderately bitter with a long lasting finish. The main flavours follow from the aroma, pine, some citric sweets. Itís not particularly dry to start with, more zingy, tart and somewhat sweet, and then it finishes medium dry. Itís good, probably I should have drunk it closer to 8c than 12c. Very little in the way of malts, just enough to sweeten it up. Palate: it lingers around the mouth, but itís fairly average. Somewhat oily. Overall: this must be the prototypical IPA in every sense, itís very good but nothing Iíd get that excited about. Itís good that itís not too fruity as I get fed up with those.
