COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
So called because of the immediate ruinous effect on your palate. 100+ IBUs. Bracingly bitter. Thick, pungent hop aroma. We would say that no hops were injured in the brewing of this beer, but that would be a massive lie. In fact, the words "Stone Ruination IPA" are what older hop vines use to cause little hop vines to quiver with fright and lose sleep at night . We at Stone honor the brutal massacre of countless hops with this "Liquid poem to the glory of the hop!" Paganism at its best!

0.33 at Øltorget. One of the best IPAs around, nearly ruined due to Øltorget is Oslo serving it extremely cold. Best way to ruin a great beer. As the statement says, this is bitter! Altough very bitter, its quit nicely balanced, with malty aromas pushing through. Great beer.

Wow!

Excellent and clean tasting IPA. Super happy without excessive bitterness or fruitiness

12oz bottle in a handled pint glass on 9/3/13. Pours a cloudy copper/orange with a small head that quickly shrinks fast. Massive resinous aroma, I get pine needles, grapefruit and orange peel. Delivers big time, fruit hop flavour is quickly dwarfed by awesome bitterness that lingers on the palate in a surprisingly delicate way. Has balance and poise for what is a ridiculous hop bomb. Loved it.

Pours a rust orange. Smells hoppy. This may be the most bitter beer I’ve ever had. It gets more bitter as you drink it and definitely has a ruinous effect in your tongue.

Bomber. Pours orange/gold with a nice white head. Aroma of pine, citrus, and florals. Taste is grapefruit, lemons, pine, grass, florals, and malt. Bitter finish. Hard to top this DIPA.

Serve at proper temperature. Nice copper color with rich foaminess and excellent lacing. Aroma is grapefruit with slight floral. Grapefruit explosion with a bitter middle yet creamy finish. If you don’t like bitter, you may not like this. Very nice on the palate. Desrving of its high rating. Highly recommended.

Great looking beer almost sparkly in the sun with a superb frothy head. Aroma of citrus and pine but not as intense as I was expecting. Taste is syrupy with a sweetness at 1st that had me thinking this wasn’t right for the brewer or the description on the bottle but seconds latter there was a nice zing on the tongue from some superb bitterness that lasted well into a noticeable after taste. Flavour I found to be a bit lacking citrus and pine but found this beer to be all about the bitterness. Really good.

UPDATED: APR 24, 2013 I’ve tried this on both bottle and keg and its truly magnificent the best IPA ive had in the UK (sooo hard to find) impossibly dry with enormous grapefruit, citrus and lychee flavours quite acidic there’s loads of hop types in here as its rather complex for an IPA which isn’t my favorite style.

on tap at parker pie, vt. hazy golden-orange with a small but persistent white head, strong lacing. very fresh pine and citrus, toastiness and semi-dry caramel, spices - cloves (!), fruity and floral, some sweetness, hides abv well. average carbonation, medium body - oily, medium long piney-citrusy finish. good balance, just not really my type of ipa.
