COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
So called because of the immediate ruinous effect on your palate. 100+ IBUs. Bracingly bitter. Thick, pungent hop aroma. We would say that no hops were injured in the brewing of this beer, but that would be a massive lie. In fact, the words "Stone Ruination IPA" are what older hop vines use to cause little hop vines to quiver with fright and lose sleep at night . We at Stone honor the brutal massacre of countless hops with this "Liquid poem to the glory of the hop!" Paganism at its best!

Hazy orangish gold with thin white head. Aroma of hops, and a little fruit, but not citrus. Great flavor. Bitter, but just right. Very good.

Pours a hazy copper. Nose not typical of IPA - got some tropical fruits, but not pine or grapefruit. Smell was a little funky - almost thought bottle might be skunked. But that was not the case - taste is some sweet caramel followed by a bitter hop bomb. Somewhat syrupy. I like it, but don't love it as much others seem to. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Grassy hops on the aroma, almost a sprinkling of sherbert . Great bitter flavour, but think I prefer jackhammer in a battle of the bitterness ipa contest. Still very tasty.

Fairly clear burnt yellow color. Not too much carbonation. Aroma is lots of citrus earthyness. Wow, very bitter. I’m getting a note grassy earthy bitterness for a flavor. Pretty good. Would like more fruity flavors,

Bottle from Cotteridge wines. Amber beer with medium head. Aroma of hops, tropical fruits and pine. Taste is pine resin, hops, peach and a dry bitter finish. A little oily on the palate. Very nice.

Keg @ Euston Tap. A suitable name for the ruination it caused my wallet - £8.10 a pint! This is a great IPA though, resinous citrus and hoppy grapefruit and tropical flavours but smooth enough to make it pleasantly drinkable. Bitter finish. Great stuff.

I finally had one of these yesterday, I had been wanting to try it for absolutely ages but it’s not easy to get here. Well, the wait was certainly worth it! Poerfully hopped making it rather bitter but perfectly balanced with a pine resin sweetness. Nectar of the gods!

Pours a hazy orange colour with a white head. Aroma is malt, fruit, citrus, pine with hints of spices and plenty of hops. Taste is medium sweet leading to a huge hoppy finish. Awesome!

12 ounce bottle. Slightly hazy amber orange color. Medium-sized rocky beige head. Big pine needle aroma. Rich caramel maltiness is overtaken quickly by the huge hop crescendo that awaits. Notes of pine, grapefruit and apricot. Finishes bitter and tasty, with an amazing long clinging mouthfeel.
