COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
So called because of the immediate ruinous effect on your palate. 100+ IBUs. Bracingly bitter. Thick, pungent hop aroma. We would say that no hops were injured in the brewing of this beer, but that would be a massive lie. In fact, the words "Stone Ruination IPA" are what older hop vines use to cause little hop vines to quiver with fright and lose sleep at night . We at Stone honor the brutal massacre of countless hops with this "Liquid poem to the glory of the hop!" Paganism at its best!

Deep yellow colour, white frothy head. Poured into a flute because I like my double IPA’s in that kind of glass. Very much grapefruit in the aroma. Some grass, pine and other citrus. Taste is grapefruit, orange, bread and caramel. Sweet and very bitter at the end. Great beer!

On tap at Billco, Napa. Pours light yellow honey white head and lacing. Aroma of tropical fruits, mango, and caramel malt as well as a slight dankness. Flavor is your typical Stone IPA; tropical fruits, big west coast hops, and a caramel sweetness. Not overly hoppy at all. Pretty well balanced. Like a better Stone IPA. Would def. drink it again.

355ml bottle from Oak Barrel, Sydney. Brewed 90 days before BB date of 27/5/15. Pours translucent deep orange with a stable medium white head. Certainly a hop monster with substantial pine resin, citrus orange/grapefruit, soft peppery spices and a subdued caramel malt bill on the nose and tongue. Palate is amazingly easy drinking and light for an ABV of 8.2% with a huge lingering dry resinous hop finish. The archetypal US West Coast IPA.

Pours a clear orangish copper color. Aroma and taste are floral, resin and very bitter.

66cl bottle.Very attractive intensely bitter nose, hardly funky at all, not fruity, not resinous, more like wormwood. Palate is ultra bitter but also very drinkable, with a caramel note and some malt. The high ABV is well integrated. Eminently balanced and drinkable.

Pours clear with thin white head. Nice hop and malt aroma. Woody aroma. Bitter but not too unbalanced for my tastes. Fairly extreme aftertaste on my palate. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

All I can say is "wow"! What a punch from an IPA! It doesn’t hide a thing, from the bouquet, fruitiness, mouthfeel...wow!

Bottle to glass. Name says it all. Huge citrusy, piney hoppy aroma. The bitterness is a bit overpowering in the flavor. Not really balanced at all. I really dig the RuinTen though.
