COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
So called because of the immediate ruinous effect on your palate. 100+ IBUs. Bracingly bitter. Thick, pungent hop aroma. We would say that no hops were injured in the brewing of this beer, but that would be a massive lie. In fact, the words "Stone Ruination IPA" are what older hop vines use to cause little hop vines to quiver with fright and lose sleep at night . We at Stone honor the brutal massacre of countless hops with this "Liquid poem to the glory of the hop!" Paganism at its best!

Golden colour makes a great appearence. Citric and hops aroma. The taste is really bitter but the balance is awesome. The hops are intense but not agressive. Just perfect.

12 oz bottle. It pours a hazy pale golden color with a small white head. It has the aroma of pine and grapefruit from hops. It is bitter and dry and tastes like lemon zest, grapefruit, resin and pine. Good beer.

Aroma of citrus hops. Apricots, and grapefruits. Flavors of grapefruits, orange zest, apricots, and slight burnt biscuits. Bitter, muddled finish. Not as outstanding as I remembered. Although it could just be this bottle. Still, a beer by a fantastic brewery.

bottle @The room (NYC). misty, golden with a White head. nose: fruity but very hoppy nose, very nice. taste: fruity, some malts hidden, but definitely a lot of hops. still well balanced. MF: dry bitter, but some nice fruit sweetiness in the back. This is all you want from an american IPA!

Aroma is all hops, resinous and dank with a slight sweetness. Very little malt in the flavour, too. Massive, tongue coating hopping masks virtually all malt. The bitterness isn’t as prominent as expected initially, after a few sips it takes over your taste buds.

This is one of my favorite beers, and quite easily my favorite IPA. It has a huge hop smell with notes of sweet, fresh tropical fruits. The taste is tropical fruit up front, followed by the bracingly bitter hops that linger and coat your tongue. The amount of balance to this beer is fantastic. I would highly recommend it.

Bottle - best by date 12/23/14. Aroma of candied hop flowers - lemondrops, brigh spruce. Flavor is full, nutty - some cereal notes - but from seconds in the resiny, citrus-pine hops inundate. Finishes with a fresh pine, almost minty bitterness. I still feel that candied hop goodness is the best description I can give.

Lightly hazed with an apricot-gold color. Great, thick lacing. Super smooth and creamy with a medium body and a snappy finish. Biscuity malts, grapefruit, spearmint, lots of pine quality and some floral notes as well. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

12oz bottle to glass. Pours copper, hazy, lacy thin head. Aroma: citrus, pine, honey, thin sweetness. Taste: citrus, grapefruit, pine, a bit of resin. Solid malt backbone levels this out and adds a bit of honey sweetness. Solidly bitter. Floral. Mmm. Palate is medium body, high carbonation. Very good beer!
