Commercial Description:
So called because of the immediate ruinous effect on your palate. 100+ IBUs. Bracingly bitter. Thick, pungent hop aroma. We would say that no hops were injured in the brewing of this beer, but that would be a massive lie. In fact, the words "Stone Ruination IPA" are what older hop vines use to cause little hop vines to quiver with fright and lose sleep at night . We at Stone honor the brutal massacre of countless hops with this "Liquid poem to the glory of the hop!" Paganism at its best!

A clear orange beer with a disappearing white head. The aroma is very grass and hoppy on a sweet background. The flavor is sweet caramelic with loads of grass and hops, besides hints of alcohol. A lovely 2IPA. Thanks to Dave (Rodolita) for trading this one.

(Bottle 65 cl) Nice, clear amber colour with a small, white head. Lovely spicy nose - ginger? Spicy flavors with lots of sweet caramel and hops - loads of them. Pronounced alcohol - almost grappa-like. Very unusual, but very delicate. Oh, did I forget to mention, that this is quite a bitter beer also?

Bottled, thanks hopsrus!!
Amber coloured, little head. Huge flowery grapefruit aroma. Completely dominated by hops, despite it's full body. The maltiness however is less soft and attractive than in Three Floyds Dreadnaught. To call the finish "bitter" would be a gross understatement...

Cask gravity @ GBBF 2007, London. Clear light to medium orange color with a small, fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is heavy hoppy, pine, citrus. Flavor is moderate sweet and heavy bitter with a long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is flat.

Bottled. Copper colour, white small head. Hoppy aroma. Very hoppy flavour with hints of flowers and weak fruitish hints. Very dry finish and long hoppy aftertaste.
