Oct 9, 2004 A clear orange beer with a disappearing white head. The aroma is very grass and hoppy on a sweet background. The flavor is sweet caramelic with loads of grass and hops, besides hints of alcohol. A lovely 2IPA. Thanks to Dave (Rodolita) for trading this one.

Amber coloured, little head. Huge flowery grapefruit aroma. Completely dominated by hops, despite it's full body. The maltiness however is less soft and attractive than in Three Floyds Dreadnaught.
To call the finish "bitter" would be a gross understatement...

Jul 23, 2005 (Bottle 65 cl) Nice, clear amber colour with a small, white head. Lovely spicy nose - ginger? Spicy flavors with lots of sweet caramel and hops - loads of them. Pronounced alcohol - almost grappa-like. Very unusual, but very delicate. Oh, did I forget to mention, that this is quite a bitter beer also?

Aug 26, 2002 Light copper; piney, foresty hop aroma. Hops just clobber the palate. Rich malts come in later - an earthy, resiny brew. Very intense, but I have to admit, I’ve never been thrilled with these over-the-top beers and wouldn’t want to drink them as a general rule.
