Please note that the Ruination produced in Europe is the Ruination Double IPA 2.0
So called because of the immediate ruinous effect on your palate. 100+ IBUs. Bracingly bitter. Thick, pungent hop aroma. We would say that no hops were injured in the brewing of this beer, but that would be a massive lie. In fact, the words "Stone Ruination IPA" are what older hop vines use to cause little hop vines to quiver with fright and lose sleep at night . We at Stone honor the brutal massacre of countless hops with this "Liquid poem to the glory of the hop!" Paganism at its best!

WOW! This is by far the most bitter beer i’ve ever come across... and I’ve had quite a few DIPA’s. The hops here are quite impressive. Not as much malt as I would have hoped, but still pretty balanced. They ain’t lying when they say it’s "Bracingly bitter". It really is. You have to try it to really understand what they have achieved here. The only downside is that it’s a touch weak compared to other DIPA’s at only 7.7% alcohol/vol.

Hazy orange pour frothy white head. Sweet aroma but bitter hoppy taste. Unusually tasty for being so bitter. Mild after taste. Not a big IPA guy but this ain’t bad.

Keg at Bitter Phew. Look, it’s good, but not worth wetting your kecks over. Kind of like the NZ Sauvignon Blanc trend, the mega hoppy IPA thing will probably fade as the hipsters grow up. Hazy orange, off white head. Big citrus hoppy aroma with slight flowery edge prepares you for..... surprise surprise.... a big hoppy hit that hangs around for ages in a long bitter bitter finish. Kecks remain thankfully bone dry

Very good brew. Hops, hops, hops. The good thing about it though is that the beer is very hoppy, but not so much to the point I don’t want to drink it. Another classic from stone!

Ruinous is right! This is truly a well-crafted beer... Intense hops all around. The impact on my nose and palate was impressive, yet I was not driven away by the bitter explosion.... I craved more. There is a great balance between the bitterness and the malty sweetness. Simply divine.

From a bottle into a tulip glass. Pours a slightly hazy orange color with two fingers of white, frothy head. The head lingers for eons and leaves beautiful lacing on the glass like strings of cob web. The aroma is all hops, sticky with citrus grapefruit and resin. Hiding in the nose is a waft of honey sweetness. The first taste is a blossom of pure hops; the heavy flavor is all citrus hops with a backbone of pine. It blends beautifully into that promise of honeysuckle like sweetness I found on the nose. The sweetness on the back end coupled with the unapologetic hop smack in the mouth makes this THE IPA against which I compare all others. This is the beer that turned me into a beer geek. Other IPAs are guilty of just loading you with hops for hops sake, but this beer uses them the way they are meant to be used. Cheers to the guys and gals at Stone for brewing such a gem.

This beer is set out to ruin your taste buds and with that comes some delicious tasting beverage if you are hopped up enough to handle it.

Damn, is this beer good or what? Its a hop lovers dream. Take a sniff from your bottle, smells amazing. Malty, hoppy, sour. Stone brewery doesnt skimp on quality here. Take a huge mouth full and just let it settle on the back of your tongue before you swallow. This is what beer is about. Cheers! to another great Stone brewery product. This beer is a punch in the face and a pure invasion of the senses.
