4.6 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20 hammenlind (737) - Sundbyberg, - JUN 4, 2005
Golden colour with a sparkling white head with some lacing. Agressive hoppy cascade nose with some nutty hints. Hoppy, flowery almost perfume like flavour. Extreme bitter palate. Medium bodied. Aftertaste is present for at least an hour.
4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 MechanicalMind (6) - Crawley, West Sussex, ENGLAND - FEB 9, 2012 does not count
Bottle. Pours a very slight hazy dull orange. White head that almost completely disappears apart from thin ring of lacing around the edge. Aroma is pine, grapefruit, candied sugar. Palette is immediately hit by bitterness and big tropical fruits, grapefruit, pineapple, citrus pith, bitterness spreads across whole of tongue unlike a lot of IPAs that just hits edges or at the front/back. Finishes with a sustained dry bitter punch, sweet candied sugar, slight alcohol kick, otherwise alcohol is mainly hidden by intense flavours. Couldn’t want much more from this, pretty much one of the best IPAs I’ve had
4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 _angst_ (510) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - FEB 8, 2012
Bottle shared @ Ölrepubliken. Pours hazy reddish yellow with a fluffy with head that leaves some trace on the glass while dissipating. Smell is fresh and hoppy with grapefruit, lemon peal, peaches, caramel, apricots, plums, pine, wood and grass. Taste is malty sweet and bitter with caramel, pine, grapefruit, grass and plums. Mouthfeel is medium bodied (on the thin side). Finish is slightly sweet and quite bitter with lots of citrus.

Wow What a perfect IPA. Poured into a pint glass. Beautiful aroma of hops. Full refreshing taste. Not as bitter as I was expecting. A truly exceptional IPA.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 rollinsr (102) - Atlanta, GEORGIA - FEB 6, 2012
Aroma is hoppy citrus with a bit of stickiness to it as well as some caramel malt notes. Taste is more of the hoppy citrus with quite a bit of grapefruity bitterness. Very refreshing. Contrary to what the description says, I feel that this beer did not "ruin" the palate at all. In fact, I felt that this was one of the most well-rounded IPAs I have ever tasted, with a nice caramel-like malt aftertaste. This was, however, at a cask tasting so the batch may have been slightly varied.
4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 gyllenbock (1608) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - FEB 4, 2012
Bottle at Bishops Arms, Bellmansgatan, February 2012.
Orange with a medium fluffy head. Aroma of pine and citrus, on the sweet side. The taste was hoppy with a good bitterness. Very drinkable and rather balanced. A nice DIPA.
4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 mcnealc31 (154) - Elida, Ohio, USA - FEB 3, 2012
Pours a hazy yellow, but the symphony of bold hops in the smell tell you to prepare for an assault. Starts out with a bit of orange marmalade before the hops attack. Tons of pine and grapefruit, but just enough lightly toasted malt to give it some backbone. So bitter you’ll pucker and might even get goosebumps.
A punisher, this. But there is enough complexity here that it’s not just a one note hops bludgeoning. But it’s a 100+ IBU from Stone. What else would you expect?

Nästan orange öl med ett ljusgult skum. Doftar härligt av citrus, med tonvikt på grape. Den grapefruktliknande beskan drar härligt i munnen. En mycket god IPA.
