COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
So called because of the immediate ruinous effect on your palate. 100+ IBUs. Bracingly bitter. Thick, pungent hop aroma. We would say that no hops were injured in the brewing of this beer, but that would be a massive lie. In fact, the words "Stone Ruination IPA" are what older hop vines use to cause little hop vines to quiver with fright and lose sleep at night . We at Stone honor the brutal massacre of countless hops with this "Liquid poem to the glory of the hop!" Paganism at its best!

Pours a very slight amber color, with great head retention. Lacing all around. Smells slightly piney and citrusy—not overwhelming at all. Overall great. Tastes a bit malty up front, but quickly turns to bitter, and a lovely malt and bitter aftertaste. A light body too, perfect pairing with the bitterness of the hops. High carbonation, giving it a very good and lively mouthfeel. Overall a great IPA. Very little to complain about! Great job

Bouteille bue en avril 2014. 8.2% bien caché! Bel équilibre, longue amertume. Pamplemousse. Zeste d’orange. Ne réinvente pas le genre mais c’est efficace.

Deep gold pour, medium frothy light tan head, fair bit of sticky lacing. Mango and pine aroma, quite strong. Taste is a hop blast as expected, though there’s some caramel malt that comes through in the heavier body. Medium body and just enough carbonation to keep it smooth.

Love Ruination, and I do most all Stone products. The hopping here is fantastic, lots of intense flavors with citrus and to me almost a mint/piny taste. A tad to "bitter" for me, but I still buy this all the time.
