Bomber. Beautiful Dark orange with a brilliant white head(it really is great looking). Floral hops, pine, grain, and grapefruit. Nice crisp bitterness. Slight marks off ’cause I don’t like grapefruit, but very good otherwise ;)

Jul 17, 2008 Lots of head, orange colored body. Smells of grapefruit and hops. Smooth beer taste of hops is excellent without a major bitter aftertaste. Only downfall was that I expected it to be a little higher alcohol content. Great beer, less bitter than Hopslam but lacks the real kick I was looking for.

does not count  Jul 15, 2008 An experience worth having, but not repeating, at least not very often. This is a great beer for learning about the difference between centennial and cascade hops, but give yourself half an hour before tasting any other beers to avoid pretty serious flavor distortion. There is a lot to be learned from this beer; we often learn to taste the presence of certain flavors in smaller concentrations by reference to an exaggerated example.

Jul 14, 2008 Stone Ruination IPA 7/13/08 (bought from Carpenteria. Poured from bomber a champagne dark orange with a smallish head. Aroma is of intense hops, pine, and flowers; you can smell the potency of this thing by its powerful smell! Mouthfeel is medium-thick and syrupy. Initial flavor is a crisp, bitter pine-grapefruit. These flavors are then bolstered by lemon, malt, and some more bitterness. Finishes firmly bitter and with citrus, held long and firm like a warbled note in an opera. This beer is hop-centric, aggressive, and a memorable treat.

Jul 13, 2008 Apologies to devout IPA fans -- I don’t know how you could drink an entire one of these -- but the overwhelming flavor of hops in this beer is short of enjoyable in my book.

Jul 13, 2008 Appearance: Pours a clear, orangey body with a full, foamy, white head.
Smell: Predominately hoppy aroma smelling of an aromatic blend of gooey pine resin and oily grapefruit rinds. Some lesser candyish notes in the nose, as well as hints of bread and sliced melons.
Taste: Citric grapefruit juices and packed with pine needles. Touch of peppermint, some floral hints as well. Citrus and melon fruitiness. Meek pale, lightly bready malts with a touch of caramel sweetness make an appearance when they can. Full, tongue-scalding bitterness. There’s a tiny bit of sweetness in the finish and lingering aftertaste, but, by and large, it’s all hop bitterness.
Mouthfeel: Medium-plus body. Medium carbonation. Somewhat oily mouthfeel.
Drinkability: About as smooth as 100+ IBUs is going to get.
