So called because of the immediate ruinous effect on your palate. 100+ IBUs. Bracingly bitter. Thick, pungent hop aroma. We would say that no hops were injured in the brewing of this beer, but that would be a massive lie. In fact, the words "Stone Ruination IPA" are what older hop vines use to cause little hop vines to quiver with fright and lose sleep at night . We at Stone honor the brutal massacre of countless hops with this "Liquid poem to the glory of the hop!" Paganism at its best!

Stellar, not Stella. Everything in his brew s fresh, from the hop aroma, the malt flavor, the oil resigns on he back of the toungue. This brew just kills it. Sticking with this tonight...can’t go back to anything after this one for now. Will be reviewing Friday with some new bombers. Defiantly snap this one up if you see it.

Pours clear gold. Greatly reduced head. However it doesn’t stop the aroma. BIG AROMA!! Fresh hops, abrasive citrus, acidic, dank, weed, flowers and big pine. Taste is the same with caramel and slightly roasty malts. BIG FLAVOR! This is a beast.

Rating #1294 - 21.10.2014. Stone launch @craftbeeryeg Pours a darker amber, with a bubbly tan head. Aroma is citrusy, grapefruit hops predominant. Taste is extremely hoppy, lots of cool citrus notes - mild tropical, mild pine, mild orange zest. Extraordinarily balanced - the sweet, cookie dough malt met with doses of bitterness, and they all linger into the finish. Beautiful.

Wonderful aroma mix of pine, resin and tropic fruits based on a subtle malt body. The licory bodu makes you think of an barley wine topped by a mighty hop kick. Finally this beer stays surprisingly drinkable but is mostly overrated in my eyes.

Bottle, Ann Arbor, MI via Costco. Hazy light gold. Soapy head. Honey citrus resin aroma. Sharp flavour, full body, nice ginger then a bitter pine finish.

Poured from a bottle. I could smell it an arms length away as it was being served. Very fresh citrus notes. Caramel with light brown color, breaking amber and golden on the edges of the glass. This taste incredible of danky grapefruit with nice citrus flavors. Love it when we get fresh Stone in Iowa, so good. Last time I had this beer was on tap was at Big Grove on a Skype with Mitch Steele. Pretty cool.

Classic IIPA. Bold hop flavours of citrus and ripe mango. Some find it bitter but for me the bitterness is good.

A classic, though a bit dated and I see why they replaced it. Very bitter and lean with not the same kind of aroma you get from current DIPAs.

A good old fashioned IPA with loads of bitter hops, hold those new fangled floral aromas, thanks. It’s all about the pine and the grapefruit which are just ALL OVER your tongue. It holds its alcohol well for a double IPA.

Pours clear light amber with big frothy white head. Aroma of grapefruit, citrus, pine, some melon. Taste is bitter, not excessive, with some residual sweetness. Somewhat dry, medium body, soft carbonation, alcohol well inserted. Really balanced imperial ipa.

Draught @ Albion. Hazy bright orange with small foamy off-white head, light floral hops aroma, medium carbonation, bitter hoppy taste that starts sweetish, full body, long bitter finish. Great IPA.
