COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
So called because of the immediate ruinous effect on your palate. 100+ IBUs. Bracingly bitter. Thick, pungent hop aroma. We would say that no hops were injured in the brewing of this beer, but that would be a massive lie. In fact, the words "Stone Ruination IPA" are what older hop vines use to cause little hop vines to quiver with fright and lose sleep at night . We at Stone honor the brutal massacre of countless hops with this "Liquid poem to the glory of the hop!" Paganism at its best!

Bottle. Golden brown with a big off-white head. Aromas are fairly light malts with earthy dry pine and petrol fume-like alcohol vapours. Flavours are fruity with caramel. Very prickly hops, dry, bitter and mouth numbing in its alcohol. Too strong to drink too many for sure. Almost overbearing.

I really enjoyed the first half of this large bottle but after that the hops were overpowering for me. Iíd buy it again though just so I can train my taste buds to appreciate good beer. It was as well balanced a beer as it could be. Buy this if you like hops.

Orange beer with thin white head and nice lacing. Apricots and hops in the aroma. More hops, along with malt in the palate, has nice body to it. Finish is not all that bitter. A good beer, I didnít think it was overdone on the hops.

Appearance: Hazy rich amber color with a thick offwhite head and light lacing. Aroma: Hoppy and mildly sweet, like a slight touch of apple. Flavor profile: While it certainly is delightfully bitter, compared to the standard Stone IPA it seems less hoppy. That might be because its not quite as dry although it does have that crisp finish the IPA has. Its a little sweet with some hoppy but mellowed (for Stone) hops. A little smoother and fuller than the standard IP, also a little sweet with some of the malts they put in. Mouthfeel: Easy on the mouth, but not watery. Somewhat smoother than the normal Stone IPA as well as stronger. Overall: A pretty good IPA, but given the talk-up the bottle label I was expecting mroe. I like the regular Stone IPA better, but the Alesmith IPA best of all.

Not my favorite 2IPA but a solid effort by Stone. Lots of hop aroma, but the flavor profile just seems a bit flat. Not quite as good as their Smoked Porter and Imp Stout.

22 oz. bottle. Amber colored with light head that disappeared fairly quickly. Hoppy, citrus aroma. I thought this was a bit thin bodied and lacked the flavor of the regular Stone IPA, but I may have had it a bit too cold because the last 4 or 5 ounces were much better. I was a bit disappointed at first because of the great beers thst Stone has, so I guess Iíll have to give this one another try and rate it again!

Pours a gold color with small white head, which disappears rather quickly. The hops hit you immediately and dont let up. Bitter brew. Earthy and floral notes. Some malts. Aroma has a hint of caramel. Bitter finish that stays with you long after your final sip.

Crystal clean orange/tan color, with a large foamy white head. The aroma is all hops. There is no scents present. And the feeling one gets is that these are strong hopps. The flavor is all hops, very hoppy nose, very hoppy finish. Very clean, while seemingly heavy, still easy to drink and very refreshing. The finish is not quick, and the aftertaste is highlighted by bitterness. Very ugood.

Orangey colored with minimal white head, this beer has an exquisitely sweet citrus aroma. Taste is not particularly sweet, and naturally hops dominate with deeply stteped tea bitterness. Very nice, but it does not seem like an IIPA $5/22oz
