Commercial Description:
So called because of the immediate ruinous effect on your palate. 100+ IBUs. Bracingly bitter. Thick, pungent hop aroma. We would say that no hops were injured in the brewing of this beer, but that would be a massive lie. In fact, the words "Stone Ruination IPA" are what older hop vines use to cause little hop vines to quiver with fright and lose sleep at night . We at Stone honor the brutal massacre of countless hops with this "Liquid poem to the glory of the hop!" Paganism at its best!

Medium amber with an averaged sized off-white head. Piney/spruce smell with hints of oranges. This beer reminds me why IPAs are one of my favorite styles - hops, hops and more hops!

Boy is this one a keeper. I spent a ton of bucks to have a variety of beers sent to me prior to my wedding. I’ve got Stone, Victory, Dogfish Head, North Coast, and Alesmith goods. A fine selection of barley wines, imperial stouts, and imperial IPAs. I’m in heaven. Everything I imagined about this beer was right. What a hop-boot kick to the head. The coppery orange color with fluffy off-white head is quite a sight. There’s no letdown with the taste either. The hoppy, grapefruity aroma leads to a wonderful malt/hop flavor. The longer you let it linger in your mouth, the more hop you get. Delightful. The bitter hop finish is just right. Yep, I’m getting more of this gem.

Bottle. Pale orange with a medium thin white head. Aroma is very pungent with hops, could smell it from a distance away. Very bitter with plenty of hops, some malt and caramel too hiding under there. Mouthfeel is great and the hoppy aftertaste gently faded away. I love hoppy beers so thought this was phenomenal, an outstanding brew.

Thanks to Juancho. What a great beer!! Perfect balance between hops and malt, but creatively balanced with citrus, apricot and grapefruit. Might seem a bit less hoppy than others, but I loved it!!

A clear amber pour. Super duper hoppy. Great IPA - lots of citrus in the finish.

This beer rules. I had it from the bomber the other night and was very sad when it was over. Although you (as I) may not be able to afford this beer regularly, it is a real treat if you love imperial IPAs.

Well i have been bitching a lot about how DIPA’s never seem to pack the hop punch that some single IPAs have, but things just changed with this brew. After reading the lengthy description on the bottle, i didnt figure it would live up to the hype. Holy hops though, good lord. Finally a DIPA that doesnt have so much malt and ABV that you cant even taste hops. This does wreck your pallet, and thats good. I think this is really close to my fav DIPA, and gives Furious a run in the IPA category even. Great stuff

This nice beer has a wonderful warm amber color and a huge, white head. The aroma is wonderfully hoppy with notes of citrus, resin, grass and something that reminds me of a nice cheese (not old/smelly). The flavour has notes of citrus, fruits like tangerine and melon, caramel, a light sweetness, nice resin and bitterness. The body is very full and very harmonic - I’m in love!!! Thank you Tom/Afeter4ever for this very nice beer!
