Bottle. Aroma of pine, grapefruit, floral hops, wonderful concoction. As it warms, the sweet caramel malt comes into play. The flavor brings on another level of complexity of this malt, never too sweet, but always rich, grainy, fruity. Meanwhile, the hops are incredible, but I can’t say steal the show because that malt really is something for a DIPA. But the hops, wow, I really think they do the description justice. All the notes you can imagine, and a finish that is bitter, spicy, as hot (hot as in spicy, not as in alcoholic) as a non-tabasco-barrel-aged beer can be. A wonderful beer adventure.

Oct 13, 2008 22 oz bottle. pours a golden brown with a medium off white head. strong aroma of citrus and hops. smooth, hoppy flavor with a full body and very strong, bitter aftertaste. A high quality IPA, although not the best I’ve had.

Oct 13, 2008 Pours hazy golden brown with a decent white head. Aroma is both malty and full of citrusy, flowery hops. Taste is smooth and malty and full of citrusy hops that leaves an extremely bitter finish. Great beer/

Oct 13, 2008 22oz bottle poured into glass. Small off white head, on top of a perfect golden color ale. Smell of the glorious hop as the bottle describes, however you can still pick up a hint of the malts. Love the flavor, having trouble sitting here on the computer rating it as I am enjoying it way too much. Very full body. Overall one of the best IPA’s I have ever had, would recommend it to anyone and everyone.

Oct 10, 2008 Very drinkable. Not "bracingly bitter" as the name states but it certainly is more bitter than some may like. Very little head, it’s got a great citrus, floral smell. Really well-balanced IPA, one of the better one’s I’ve ever had.

Oct 10, 2008 Bottle as shown. Pours a clear orange golden color with a small frothy white head that diminishes quickly. The aroma is a strong citrus and floral hops. The taste is very hoppy with pine and a bitter finish. Hides the alcohol, a very good double IPA from Stone.
