3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 dmschefke (560) - Macomb, Michigan, USA - MAR 16, 2009Now this is a very well self explained beer. Pours a hazy orange with thick white head. Aroma of hops, hops, hops, and some grass and citrus. Flavor is dominated by hops, but grass and caramel are apparent also. Strong bitter aftertaste sticks around for a while. A nice brew, but not one that I would drink very often.
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 TimsRatings (83) - - MAY 22, 2013
On tap at Ridgewood (Raleigh).
Powerful hoppiness. Not a bad thing - but it could harm your ability to taste your next beer. Maybe not Palate Wrecker harm, but the hops stays on the tongue.

This is a best beer in my life!
Stone Ruination IPA is one of the completed form of American IPA.
This beer has a strong aroma hop’s smell and a extreme bitter taste, but you will drink this next to next if you love IPA.
If you like IPA style beer, you should drink it.
4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 novels (342) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - MAY 21, 2013
Enjoyed the double dry hopped version of this on draft at Maria’s in Chicago. Very fruity, citrus, some pine, with hop complexity that steals the show. Some great lacing left on the glass, with a solid light amber/copper color that entices you to drink faster. Super good!
4.4 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20 salvaticas (128) - - MAY 17, 2013
Bottle pour, bright orange/amber, very cloudy. Incredibly pungent aroma of citrus and hops. Excellent classic IPA taste. Not too strong for an Imperial.

Not as bitter as advertised, but still more bitter than I prefer. Overall a really good beer, those guys at Stone know what they're doing

This was one delicious beer. Not for the faint of heart, very hoppy with a strong malty alcohol kick as it goes down. Very smooth and very drinkable.

Amazingly hoppy. This is a favorite that I will grab whenever I can find it (which is easier said than done compared to living in Escondido)

4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 toffsbury (104) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - MAY 14, 2013
Light brown/amber with a reasonable head, not too much retention. Aroma is fruit and flowers, nice and rich. Taste is bitter up front and at finish. Lots of flavours chase each other around on the tongue, but bitter wins out in the end. This is a happy pour.
3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 wedgie9 (1590) - Nashville, Tennessee, USA - MAY 11, 2013
Tasted on 5/11/13 from a capped 650mL bomber bottle purchased at a grocery store in Arizona. Pours clear orange with a thick white head that slowly recedes to average, messy lace. The nose is full of hoppiness, ranging from resin, to citrus, to floral, with just a touch of yeast aroma and a bit of bread malt. The flavor is really just dominated by hops and bitterness, with the same touch of bread malt acting as a bit of a balancing agent. The body is medium with a bit of a sticky texture, average carbonation, and a long, ridiculously bitter hoppy finish.
3.8 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 9/20 Beerenberger (791) - Fischer, Texas, USA - MAY 11, 2013
Nice fruity aroma with pine sand hints of citrus. Pours a clear golden amber with a white ring and spotty lacing. The taste, initially, has a sweet fruity quality about it followed by "subdued" pine/resin flavor ending with a satisfying hoppy bitter finish. Medium fbody with medium carbonation. There is almost a tongue coating quality that is not found in most IPA’s. Very pleasing. Overall, this is a very enjoyable IPA which I want to have again.
