COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
So called because of the immediate ruinous effect on your palate. 100+ IBUs. Bracingly bitter. Thick, pungent hop aroma. We would say that no hops were injured in the brewing of this beer, but that would be a massive lie. In fact, the words "Stone Ruination IPA" are what older hop vines use to cause little hop vines to quiver with fright and lose sleep at night . We at Stone honor the brutal massacre of countless hops with this "Liquid poem to the glory of the hop!" Paganism at its best!

Do not even try to drink anything else after this H bomb. It will ruin your palate. 100+ IBUs. Bitter, pungent and thick. You can taste the brutal beating that the hops endured in the brewing of this tribute to abuse.

Orange smell, not as big a smell as expected, taste isnt nearly as hoppy as they lead on...taste is poor though, what do people see?!

9/12/14. Draft at surf club. Full onslaught hops. Not quite my cup of tea. Like IPAs and like Stone's West coast style. However, this is a little over the top for me. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle from CBB. Nice pale amber. Aroma is super hoppy with pine and some malts. Flavour has malts like a IIPA, along with great fruity, piney hops. Phenomenal beer!

Reviewed from notes. Bottle poured into a Duvel tulip glass.

A - Pours amber orange with a nice pillow of one finger tall white head leaving spotty lacing down the glass.

S - Smells of pine and citric hops, grapefruit, and a small amount of caramel malt. This one is all about the hops.

T - Lots of hop bitterness throughout. Hints of pine, citric fruit, caramel sweetness, and a touch of bread dough. Finish has plenty of bitterness, lingering for some time. One of my all time favorite IPA’s.

M - Medium body and flavor with moderate carbonation. Sticky feel with plenty of lingering bitterness in the finish.

O - I have been drinking this beer for a few years now and it has never let me down. Sure, there is the occasional out of date bottle but that isn’t the beers fault. Still one of the best IPA’s of all time.

Draught pint at Smith Street Taps, Singapore. Small head, quickly dissipates. Cloudy amber. Small nose - some citrus. Good carbonation. Bitter, grapefruit, continues on the finish. Nice double IPA.

Bottle. Light amber gold, nice lacing. Huge grapefruit, citrus, and pine. Big malt backbone but, mainly juicy bitter hops through the taste. Some alcohol on the aftertaste. An overall awesome big imperial. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

when this beer first came out (long before every brewery did a double IPA) it was one of the hoppiest beers I’d tasted (and I loved it); amber color; strong piney, citrusy hop aroma; lots of piney hop flavor and herbal notes; very bitter and hoppy; medium bodied with caramel malt notes

Clear, slightly pale yellow-gold with a head of about one finger. Warm hop smell. Evergreen, some fruit, malty bread. Pretty bitter, even for someone who drinks a lot of IPA’s. Citrus peel. Clean, simple flavor. Finishes very dry.

Amber/ orange pour with a white head. Aroma and taste are bitter hops, flowers, caramel, peach, pine and malt. A blueprint for what an IPA should be. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

330ml bottle from Hopology, Nottingham. Golden amber colour with a tiny head. Aroma of lemons. Strong hoppy taste with a nice bitter finish.
