3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours a clear light amber with a solid fluffy head. Nose is floral hops, pine resin, some sweet malt, a bit of citrus. Taste is pine, floral hops, resin, lot of malt sweetness, some spicy hop, a bit of bitterness that builds as I drink more. I can feel the alcohol in my mouth, solid sticky body. Solid, didn't wow me. Too sweet IMO.

Bomber to glass. Pours a dark copper color, with little head. Aroma is malty, with very deep hops. Citrus, grapefruit, peaches, tropical fruit! Taste is malty, slight sugar, tropical fruit, citrus. Boozy finish, light burn and a solid bitterness. Mmm. Palate is medium body, medium carb. Overall a very well done double IPA, I dig it. Thanks Stone!

Mostly clear amber pour. Thick off white head. Lots of lacing. Hop aroma is ridiculous. Massive grapefruit. Floral. Candy sugar. Flavor is equally ridiculous. Huge hop flavor. Grapefruit. Tropical fruit. And candy. Super bitter finish.

2014 - This year’s release is not their best. The aroma is packed with malt with just barely noticeable floral hops. The flavor is better, still malty but a strong earthy hop spice that finishes dry with a ton of grapefruit... I went back and opened a second bottle and I’ve decided this is Old Guardian in Ruinten bottles. No joke, that’s what I taste with maybe a bit more lemon but a HUGE malt bomb.

7/14/14. 22 oz. bottle. Amber color with a white head. Huge floral aromas with citrus, pine and tropical fruit. Sticky, boozy caramel flavors, loads of hops, alcohol burn at the end with a long, hoppy finish.

Draft at Vintner last night. Deep gold/amber color, slightly offwhite head, massive citriousy hop aroma, incredibly smooth. Malt character is bumped somewhat to offset the huge hop bitterness. Incredible beer, perhaps the best IPA I’ve ever had.

4.7 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20
amber color; big citrusy hop aroma; a big, agressively hopped double IPA; tons of great, citrusy hop flavor with a medium bodied malt base; definitely for hop heads only

Bomber, 2014 release. Strong pine resiny hop aroma with notes of citrus. Pours a dark golden color with a decent off-white head and moderate lacing. Huge, piney hop flavors with hints of grapefruit citrus and acidity. Finishes extremely dry with a huge amount hoppy bitterness. Delicious, palate wrecking goodness.
