COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
RUINING PALATES SINCE 2002 n June 2012, we celebrated the 10th birthday of our notoriously mega-hopped double IPA, Stone Ruination IPA, with the release of a very special version that was even bigger and, incredibly, even hoppier than the original. If Stone Ruination IPA is A Liquid Poem to the Glory of the Hop, then Stone Ruination Tenth Anniversary IPA was an amped-up heavy metal version of that ode delivered with the force of a sledgehammer. Luckily for us, our fans love loud and aggressive brews, specifically when copious amounts of humulus lupulus are involved. The original release of this beer was so instantly beloved by those who dared try it

22 oz bottle courtesy of Chris, served in a stem glass. Pours clear amber with a moderate tan head that mostly remains and leaves a moderate amount of fine lace. The nose has big grapefruit, citrus and pine, along with flowers and caramel malts. The flavour is well balanced up front between caramel malts and citric, piney hops. The hops pick up through the middle and dominate towards the end. It closes out with a long, hoppy finish. It is medium in body with a dryish texture and average carbonation. Overall, this is a nice double IPA, like an amped up version of Ruination. Not as delicate as the base, but a very nice brew. 2013-11-07

Not seeing the standard best by date on this one, but I know it to be fresh. Pours orange with some light off-yellow soapy foam. Nose is citrusy grapefruit with plenty of weed and body odor. The malts come through in the nose more than anticipated with a crystal dominance and boozy sweetness. Bitter with a solid boozy character and a lingering citric rind flavor. Nice and sharp, but the hops seem to have difficulty dominating the malts here - this one is quite malty, almost some honey notes. Medium bodied with moderate carb and a watering finish. A nice beer, and glad it was the same price as standard Ruination (at least where I picked it up). If they were next to one another tomorrow, Id buy the OG - cuz its that fucking good. [My bottle (660ml) shared with HogTownHarry, GregClow, jercraigs & mabel] Pours a slightly hazy orange-amber with an average size diminishing frothy white head. Aroma smells like Ruination, with lots of resiny hops, some alcohol and finally caramel malt and a hint of herbs. Big hoppy flavour along with caramel malt, alcohol, herbal notes and a big bitter finish. Medium bodied. This is borderline Barley Wine-ish, regardless I really liked it.

On tap. Pour is dark orange with a bubbly white head. Aroma is heavier on the biscuit then I would have thought with notes of caramel, pine resin, mango, and grapefruit. Flavor is very bitter with notes of orange peel, lemon zest, and pine needles. Finish is earthy with some light booze.

On tap at the Cheeky Monk Aug 22. Pours a copper orange with small head. Aroma of pine hops. Significant carbonation and big mouthfeel. Flavors of bitter root, straw hops, pine sap, bitter roasted malts. Overall lovely smell but the bitter hops are a little rough.

Tied with Enjoy by for my favorite Stone beer. One of the best IPAs I had this year, and ever. Simply enormous; sweet, bitterness of the charts, tremendous earthy funk, almost oniony and manurey... citrus, pine, grapefruit... just insanity all around. For 6.99, this was simply a gift from the Gods. Sure hope they brew this more often too.

Pretty decent. Big grapefruit nose. Anne thought this was a bit warm, probably at the temp Stone wanted. Palate is the masterpiece. Huge, complex, alcohol completely hidden. Satisfying. On tap at MacGregors.

Pours a cloudy amber orange with a light tan head and brilliant lacing. Aroma of berries and caramel. Taste is extreme caramel malt with a citrusy floral hop bitterness. Actually well-balanced and it hides the ABV well. Im not sure Ill be able to taste anything other than hops for the rest of the night. Worth it. Not as aggressive as I thought.

IPA on steroids is right. Love the "hop bomb" flavor and lingering palate.
