3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Poured from a bottle into a Spiegelau tulip. From notes, July 26, 2012.
A: Massive grapefruit aroma here along with some other tropical fruits. Piney hop resin and jus a bit of caramel malt peeking through.
A: Pours slightly hazed golden orange with a nice one-finger width white head leaving sticky streaks of lace down parts of the glass.
T: Follows the nose with lots of bright hops and a strong bitterness to cleanse the palate. Extremely drinkable, not overly bitter (perhaps some lupulin threshhold shift ?).
P: Medium-full bodied with moderate carbonation. Feels smooth with a dry and bitter finish.
O: As the bottle states, Ruination was a forerunner in the world of bottled double IPAs. This beer managed to kick things up a bit. Congratulations on ten years Stone.

4.7 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20
Bottle. Similar to Ruination, but with more citrus and grapefruit in the aroma and taste. Backed with plenty of malts to keep the hops in check.

T: Bready Malts, Piney, Mildly Citrus

Overall, well this beer lived up to a hop/malt bomb as it was advertised with great carbonation.

4.6 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Great. Hazy orange pour with white head. Aroma is citrus. Mainly orange. Taste is orange, wood and citrus rind. Creamy mouthfeel but nice carbonation burn.

4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
650 mL bottle. Hazy orange-brown with a small white head. Orange-tangerine citrus in the nose, with some caramel and booze. Not a huge aroma. The flavour, on the other hand, is huge. The flavour goes on and on and on. It is a true palate wrecker. Do not attempt to taste another beer afterdrinking one of these.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Canít say I enjoy this one too much, but itís more my taste than anything that Stoneís doing. They stay consistent in their bitter, high IBU beer and this is no exception. Little bit of citrus but overwhelming hop bitterness. If thatís your thing, go for it!

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
22 ounce bottle poured a dark orange color with aromas of citrus, pine, grapefruit, and some light bitter peel. Flavors are big citrus notes with light bitter aftertaste, a solid DIPA.

4.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Shared with my bro. Appearance is gorgeous, like a summer sunrise yellow amber orange. Aroma is hops for years, all floral and fruit. When you sip, your palate is completely molested, scorched, done; you will taste nothing but hops and bite with barely a hint of sweetness. Aftertaste lingers on your breath and reminds you there is more in the glass. I loved this beer, my brother was shocked by it haha. Nice job Stone!

Tap at Monkís Kettle, SF. Deep golden color. Aroma of citrus and pine. Taste is oh so fresh. Aftertaste all kinds of bitter, but itís still very drinkable, and very good.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle from Total Wine, Desert Hot Springs. Clear orange pour. Aroma of fruity hops, slightly sweaty, citrus, resin and some grapefruit. Flavor is quite bitter and very fruity. Well balanced and solid. Nice.
