COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
RUINING PALATES SINCE 2002
In June 2012, we celebrated the 10th birthday of our notoriously mega-hopped double IPA, Stone Ruination IPA, with the release of a very special version that was even bigger and, incredibly, even hoppier than the original. If Stone Ruination IPA is “A Liquid Poem to the Glory of the Hop,” then Stone Ruination Tenth Anniversary IPA was an amped-up heavy metal version of that ode delivered with the force of a sledgehammer. Luckily for us, our fans love loud and aggressive brews, specifically when copious amounts of humulus lupulus are involved. The original release of this beer was so instantly beloved by those who dared try it

Poured from a bomber. Opaque amber with foamy offwhite head. Aroma has tons of caramel malt which mad it a bit difficult for me to discern the hops. Taste is sweet (caramel malt) with hop bitterness coming through in the finish. Heavy mouthfeel. I thought it was a good DIPA, but I thought the malts overshadowed the hops in this one.

Bomber--hmmm, a 100 rated beer? Ok, I’ll go with that. Nice amber color with a medium head and a light amount of lacing. Can’t say there was a huge amount of hops in the aroma and the taste, but I really like that. Aroma was mostly of pine and resin and the taste had a solid amount of malts and bread. A warm, but not overwhelming amount of alcohol. Decent bitterness on the finish. More props to Stone to make high quality bombers for a decent price, keep it up! Total wine.

22 oz. bottle purchased at One Stop Market. Big aroma of citrus, grass and of course that Wes Coast pine, nice!

Flavor is pretty bold and nice for a bottled DIPA. Fresh cut grass upfront with light cracker malt and light syrupy caramel or toffee in the center. Bitter grapefruit and lasting pine in the finish. Also has citrus hops, damn pretty much the whole array of hop flavors are found here. What is impressive is this is over 2 months old now and still real vibrant hops. Shows just small amounts of alcohol flavor which is the only negative in a a great brew.

Bitter beyond DIPA norms but balanced just about beyond anything else in its class. Brings the same notes that Left Coast Hop Juice has, but not as harsh on the alky aftertaste with actually higher ABV. Hope they keep this one coming from the vats. DO NOT consume too many too fast.

Pours dark yellow/golden. Aroma is hoppy as hell, pine and grapefruit. Taste is very hoppy and bitter. This is like a balanced Ruination. Mouthfeel is medium/thick. Not my favorite, but definitely a solid DIPA.

This beer is beautiful the smell is of nice citrus notes and mainly hops. Its incredible color is a misty golden orange, and lastly the taste is magnificent it rolls across your tongue letting you taste the sweet citrus with a small tinge of bitter hops. Then all at once it crashes the back of your tongue with the great bitter bite of an IPA. All around amazing beer.

22oz bottle. Clear amber with a frothy off-white head. Flavors are sweet malts, caramel, citrus, pine needles and booze with resinous and dank notes. Medium to full body, soft carbonation, sticky texture.

hops rock especially in this monster 22oz bomber. The aroma is bread like and very floral perhaps a hint of citrus appearance is normal nothing more or less outstanding. can hint of the very high alcohol content which makes it loose a couple of points with me heavy bitter taste which naturally one would expect full on the palette with an abrupt bitter finish. Well made beer but would only do one of these at a sitting for sure.
