COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
RUINING PALATES SINCE 2002
In June 2012, we celebrated the 10th birthday of our notoriously mega-hopped double IPA, Stone Ruination IPA, with the release of a very special version that was even bigger and, incredibly, even hoppier than the original. If Stone Ruination IPA is A Liquid Poem to the Glory of the Hop, then Stone Ruination Tenth Anniversary IPA was an amped-up heavy metal version of that ode delivered with the force of a sledgehammer. Luckily for us, our fans love loud and aggressive brews, specifically when copious amounts of humulus lupulus are involved. The original release of this beer was so instantly beloved by those who dared try it

Bottle. Cloudy dark orange with small whitish foamy head, floral hoppy aroma, medium carbonation, sweet starting taste is overridden by bitter hops, long sticky-bitter finish. Nicely hopped though I have tasted better imperial IPAs.

Pine, citrus, and caramel in the aroma. Bittersweet, fruity, flavor. Great balance between sweet caramel/toffee/apple and bitter citrus and pine. Bitter fruit finish with some drying alcohol. Outstanding.

Pours medium-dark amber with a frothy, white head. Wild lacing. Nose is huge malts and a nose full of hops. Taste is quite bitter, but tamed somewhat by the burly malt load. Medium body, lively carbonation. Excellent brew.

Where: Old Line Fine Wine Spirits & Bistro. How: Bomber bottle. Appearance: Dark copper in color, bubbly one inch tall head. Aroma: Resinous pine, grapefruit, citrus, sweetness, and caramel malts. Taste: Sweet, pine and grapefruit are strong, sticky hops blend with caramel malts. Palate: Thick and sticky. Overall: Very good and worth the money.

Bomber: Aroma has got a pungent resin like hop texture with little to no malt notes. Appearance is is golden with a very light amber tinge and a thick white head that diminishes into a soapy film. Taste has got a thick hop note with a bit of alcohol burn on the back end. Palate is lightly sticky with a lingering hop note. Overall, Decent stuff just a little overpowering. Cheers!

Bottle. Fuggle and Golding, Ilkley. Bottled donks ago. Hazy, dark orange. Film of sticky, white head. Very sweet, stewed, orange, vanilla infused tea. No massive hoppage, as you might expect, but its still mouthwatering. Missus disagrees. She says its like gravy. Anyhow, taste is chewy sweet, turning slick, oily bitter. Soft, greasy hop palate. Big resin. Big chew. Love it. Finishes resinous, meaty, savoury (perhaps the missus is right) bitter. Tasty gear.

Amber brown...looks like iced tea...with one finger head. Sweet malty aroma. The bottled date was just over 3 months ago. My first impression was that this was aged. Sweet sticky tea leaves, resinous hops. Slightly imbalanced to being too sweet. Its good, though. I wish I could have had it fresher.

Large Format - Nice head with a lot of tiny bubbles that stick around for a long time. Very clear slight Amber color to it, very unusual and not what I was expecting from this triple IPA. I get mostly a sweet flavor from all the hops. This one reminds me of the Dogfish 120, same type of taste. I know some hop heads love it but not this one. I want more bitterness and bit. Could not get any subtle flavors from this beer, just that sweet triple hop flavor.

Keg at Brewdog Edinburgh. Pours deep amber. Strong sweet and hoppy aroma with grapefruit, caramel, pine, orange, exotic fruits. Tastes is strong and boozy as can be expected, grapefruit, caramel, resin, quite bitter. Good but overrated and overpriced, at least here in Europe.

teorn88 (6038) - Out of the EU, Greater London, ENGLAND - SEP 21, 2015
Keg at BD Shoreditch, London. It pours a clean golden color with medium white head. Aroma is rich sweet piney malts and bold fruit salad hops. Taste is rich in fruity hops and resin, with some sweetness and light dank and bitterness. Medium to full bodied with good carbonation. Overall, bold IPA but falls a bit too sweet for me.
