Bottle. Pours a clear deep amber with a small white bubbly head. Aroma of citrus hops, orange zest, a bit of pine, sugar, malt. Huge bitter taste, of tart citrus hops, pine trees, malt, and a hint of candied orange peel. Lingering crisp bitterness. Great IIPA.

4.5 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Pours golden orange with a nice fluffy white head. A large floral bouquet leads to a very bitter first sip. Finishes with notes of grapefruit and citrus. The hops linger and stick to your tongue well after you finish a drink.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 15/20
Draft at Gingerman. Pours clear amber with thick off-white head. Terrific lacing. Aroma is full of grapefruit, pine resin and grassy hops. Taste is slightly boozy in the forefront, but moves to grassy, floral hops with a touch of sweeter caramel malts. Bitterness and alcohol warmth linger in the finish.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Poured from a 22oz bottle. Absolutely beautiful, deep honey/amber with a small white head. Aroma is, as expected, citrus and pine, but not as intense for such a hoppy brew. Slightly sticky, light lacing that eventually slides off. Definitely not for those who donít like bitter, but for those of us who do itís a treat as itís quite heavy on that point. Slight alcohol taste comes through, but does not detract. Full body and lively on the palate with a long, bitter finish. Stone Brewery delivered a real treat with this one.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
On tap at Blue Monk in Buffalo, NY. Kinda as expected - hoppy, piney, a nite bitter bite. Surprisingly easy to drink seeing how strong it is. Has a decent sweetness that I wasnít expecting, a little bit of honey-ish flavor. I donít recall Ruination having that same sweetness.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours an ambery orange color with an off white head. Huge hop nose and flavors. I get pine and pine needle. Maybe some pine tar! Mmmmmmm. Bit of citrusy fruits such as a grapefruit or orange. But mostly just delicious hops. I like this one.
