RUINING PALATES SINCE 2002
In June 2012, we celebrated the 10th birthday of our notoriously mega-hopped double IPA, Stone Ruination IPA, with the release of a very special version that was even bigger and, incredibly, even hoppier than the original. If Stone Ruination IPA is ďA Liquid Poem to the Glory of the Hop,Ē then Stone Ruination Tenth Anniversary IPA was an amped-up heavy metal version of that ode delivered with the force of a sledgehammer. Luckily for us, our fans love loud and aggressive brews, specifically when copious amounts of humulus lupulus are involved. The original release of this beer was so instantly beloved by those who dared try it

Bottle poured a brassy amber color with a cap of off white head. Aroma has bitter hops, citrus, pine sap, and sweet malt. Mouth feel is a solid medium with good coating and strong carbonation. Flavor is good and chewy in this beefed up version, citrus rind, medium bitterness, and a strong lasting finish. This is certainly a beefy one and it borders on barleywine territory especially with the high alcohol content. For my personal taste this is a bit heavy on the bitterness and light on the sweetness but well done none the less.

Tap at the hoppy monk el paso tx june 2013 Iím very glad that they got this beer on tap here! I made an extra trip just to have it. Pours bright clear orange with a small soapy white head and very little lacing. Nose is huge here lits of tropical notes papaya floral as well with a touch of pine citrus and lite alcohol. Flavors exhibit a lot of trooical notes however this one is hot on the alcohol. Nice sweet malt here however its very well balanced by the pine and citrus notes. Bigtime bitterness here however there is a wallop of alcohol heat right alongside the onslaught of bitterness. This is a huge iipa which is good however I like a little less heat. Huge fresh pine and grapefruit all over the finish. Very good!

Poured a half finger of head on a clear, medium straw colored body. The aroma was incredible. Lots of bright citrus with a touch of honey and pine. The taste is loaded with hops and bitterness. It is more than a hop bomb though. There is great variety and complexity. Lots of fruit and some pine with a huge malt backbone to hold it all up. The texture is crisp with moderate carbonation. Impressive.

22 from toco. The story here is big orange citrus aromas and flavors. A good body and sticky pine resin finish. Pours a beautiful orange color with a white head

Beautiful dark orange color with very small white head and no lacing. Aroma is fairly weak, but has nice blend of hops & malts. Flavor is great- sweet fruity hops with a slight bitter finish. Pretty good overall

New Beer Distributors, NY 650ml ($8): Pours a pretty light amber colour with a pretty, thick off-white head. Aroma is a load of fruit, somewhat obviously. There is also some pine up in there. Taste is continuously hoppy and bitter throughout and that continues into the aftertaste, which is sustained, but doesnít really dry your mouth out. Plenty of astringency, of course. Some sugar as well. Overall, quite brutal and tasty.

Liquid gold with a two finger, white head. Looks delicious. Smell of grapefruit and pine. Very hoppy but in a good way. Not quite as good as Enjoy By. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

UPDATED: JUN 27, 2014 Pours reddish brown with a white head and no lacing. Aroma is strong with pine, grapefriut, fresh fruits, and some raisins. Some malts present too. Taste is excellent. West coast happiness with dry, bitter, and boozy finish...long finish! Wow. Great brew. One of my favorites. Donít stop making this 10 yr anniversary brew.

22 ounce bottle, drink by 09/05/13 stamped on it. Served in a DFH snifter, the beer pours an orange/copper color with about an inch off-white head. Head retention and lacing are both good. Aroma is very nice, it smells mostly like pine and citrusy (tropical fruit, grapefruit) hops, along with some caramel malt. Taste is similar to the aroma, but thereís also some earthy notes and bit of bready malt noticeable too. Of course the lingering finish is good and bitter! Mouthfeel/body is medium/full, itís slick and a little creamy with moderate carbonation. I liked this brew a lot, Iím glad I picked this up earlier today. Definitely worth trying, and Iíll be buying this again in the future. $7.99 a bomber.

UPDATED: JUN 21, 2013 22oz bottle. Pours a medium gold amber. Off-white frothy head dissolves quickly into bubbley lace. Aroma is surprisingly malty, obviously hops, grapefruit, pine, slight caramel. Taste is a rush of hops, balance of malt, pine, grapefruit, slight caramel, similar to smell but with hop kick. Heavy bitter finish. Mouthfeel is very nice, crisp from high carbonation, slightly creamy finish. Fantastic dipa, lives up to its name.
