COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
RUINING PALATES SINCE 2002
In June 2012, we celebrated the 10th birthday of our notoriously mega-hopped double IPA, Stone Ruination IPA, with the release of a very special version that was even bigger and, incredibly, even hoppier than the original. If Stone Ruination IPA is “A Liquid Poem to the Glory of the Hop,” then Stone Ruination Tenth Anniversary IPA was an amped-up heavy metal version of that ode delivered with the force of a sledgehammer. Luckily for us, our fans love loud and aggressive brews, specifically when copious amounts of humulus lupulus are involved. The original release of this beer was so instantly beloved by those who dared try it

Bottle. Pours a little more on the red side than the regular ipa. Aroma is a little more subtle than the original, but better in a way. The taste is super smooth with no bitterness. Overall they nailed this, and imo better than the original. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Murky orange color out of the bottle. Thin off white slick on the top of this beer. Hop resin nose. Thick chewy mouthfeel. Lots of hop resin, grapefruit rind, tangerine, marmalade, and fresh bread. Alcohol is well hidden. Solid iipa.

Bomber from Frank Smith’s. Pours turbid ruddy orange with 1-finger well-laced white head. Nose is huge resiny hops, tropical fruit including pineapple, tangerine, honeydew, mango, huge black pepper, Tastes rich, very complex, with big notes of resiny hops, tangerine, black pepper, mango, melon, and a rich hoppy finish. This one seems a bit less palate busting than the original, but that doesn’t make it any less dense. The Citra really shines through in this one.

The aroma is very hoppy and caramel like with pine, citrus, and pineapple. The appearance is copper with an average head. The taste is like the aroma. The palate is smooth. Overall a very good IIPA.

This is a very deep flavored IPA with specialize in the malts with nice herbal flavors including some mild fruit flavors. the hops are strong et they are quite mellow for maximum beer.

Pours a cloudy golden amber with a foamy off-white head and lacing. It has an intense resin nose, with a bit of grapefruit and other citrus. The flavor is all resin and pine up front, with a more citrusy middle and a long, bitter finish. Not quite as drinkable as I was expecting, but definitely interesting.

Great great great IPA, the most bitterest of kinds. I like a little malt balance more than this one, but overall it’s still great.

This is an outstanding beer. Big pine and citrus aroma with a Malthus background. The flavor starts with the malt, a bit of caramel, and then the hops take over. Citrus and pine, nicely bitter and dry. No alcohol until my face turns red.
