COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
RUINING PALATES SINCE 2002
In June 2012, we celebrated the 10th birthday of our notoriously mega-hopped double IPA, Stone Ruination IPA, with the release of a very special version that was even bigger and, incredibly, even hoppier than the original. If Stone Ruination IPA is “A Liquid Poem to the Glory of the Hop,” then Stone Ruination Tenth Anniversary IPA was an amped-up heavy metal version of that ode delivered with the force of a sledgehammer. Luckily for us, our fans love loud and aggressive brews, specifically when copious amounts of humulus lupulus are involved. The original release of this beer was so instantly beloved by those who dared try it

UPDATED: JUL 15, 2013 Aroma is deep, complex piney hops. The flavor is grapefruit, underlying malts, a decent hint of tobacco and a big and very bitter finish.

Pours a clear copper with a small white head and great lacing. Aroma is citrus hops, caramel malts and almost sweet honey. Taste is as expected a palate wrecking blast of citrus and earthy hop flavours. Love that taste! Sweet caramel. So well balanced, better than the original but I love the hop kick of the original as well.

UPDATED: AUG 11, 2012 Huge citrus nose, pine and caramel Low carb. Soft slightly syrupy mouthfeel. Grapefruit, caramel and pine flavour. A bit too sweet and syrupy. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Sort of dark cloudy amber with a light foam. Aroma is big fruity hops. Taste is hops. Then bitter. After it warms you get more hops. Like a each in the head with a board. Hops! Nice mouthfeel. Good carbonation. Excellent Double IPA. Gotta line hops though. More beer please...

Aroma of citrus, herbal, grass and cat piss. The bigger these things get the closer they get to cat piss on cut grass this is no exception. It’s kind of a turn off. Appearance is nice, amber clear with a large head, nice lacing. Taste is a decent amount of malt for the style but then in comes the hops and the lasting taste is more cat piss. Palate is a bit thick. Overall it’s a big IIPA with big hops but somehow these big IIPAs are starting to feel like complete overkill, like they’ve gotten so big that what made them good is starting to collapse on itself.

Rich and chewy in every aspect. This brew packs a punch. Although I do think this is over rated, it is still a classic. Deep in color with strong malt and hop aromas. think on the palate with a strict hop element balanced nicely by the fat malt body. Long on the finish with excellent bittering,

Not sure how this compares to ruination, but this was a palate wrecker for sure. Good if you want a beer to just punch you in the face. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

22oz bottle: Pours a clear deep orange bronze with a full-lacing white head. Has a fresh resinous hoppy nose with some sweet light caramel maltiness. Starts with good fullness and rich malty sweetness with assertive resiny piny hop flavor and bitter balance before a slightly drier bittersweet finish. Has a touch too much caramel sugar, but the hop profile is tasty.
