3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
On tap. Pours a clear golden amber with a small white head that settles to ring and leaves a decent amount of lacing on the glass . The aroma is pine, citrus, booze, and caramel with sweetness apparent in the aroma. The initial taste is quite sweet with a bit of pine, caramel, and grapefruit. The finish is boozy with a bit of bitterness. Medium body. Low carbonation. A bit too sweet and boozy, but that’s not surprissing with a beer of this size.

4.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle. Pours a nice golden orange color with a white head. Aroma is filled with citra hops, notes of sweet mango, papaya, passion fruit, pineapple, grapefruit, orange and tangerine and a sweet malt backbone. The flavor is again super tropical fruit forward, with lots of mango, papaya, passion fruit and pineapple, some orange, mandarin, tangerine, grapefruit and the sweet malt. The body is medium with a dry and velvety mouth feel. Overall an amazing DIPA, almost just as good as my favorite, Expo!

4.7 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 19/20
Draft at Jerry’s. Light copper with good, foamy, white head / Big, bright nose of cut pine, weed, citrus, and spun sugar / Medium to full body, sugary cut by biting hops, alcohol noticeable but not distracting, with otherwise great balance and bitter finish / Flavors of cut pine, caramel, spun sugar, grapefruit, orange, resin and bubblegum / Great stuff.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Nice large 2 inch plus head of very fine and dense bubbles. Nice hoppy aroma that has a hint of body odor??? Very strange. Maybe just the glass. Light orange and citrusy hops along with some mild malts and pine. Color is a cloudy dark orange. Very hoppy and bitter flavor with some pine saw dust, caramel malts and a bit of dry herbal flavors. Mild alcohol presence for a 10%+ brew. Actually a bit disappointed with this brew. I really expected more and a fresher hops presence. This brews seems to be on the decline yet it has only been out for a few weeks. Lingering bitter finish of dry and bitter grapefruit pith. A decent IIPA but expected more from this world class brewer.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Pour from a bottle yields a clear copper pour with a lasting white head with a bit of lacing. Aroma is hop forward (obviously) with mostly pine resin, but a fair bit of orange citrus in there as well. Hops are backed by a slug of caramel sweetness on the nose as well. Taste is all about the hops front palate, but doesn’t bitter quite as hard as I would expect. More citrus and pine resin flavors. Thin, and when cold, fairly boozy (I honestly don’t recall the last beer I had that got more mellow when warm...WTH). Not a bad beer by any means, but I was expecting to get blown away.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Mildly hoppy nose, piney, a little grapefruit. Pretty sticky beer. Big malt flavors, not as much hops as i’d like and tons of alcohol. Not well balanced as the alcohol burns more and more the closer you get to the bottom of the glass. Unimpressed with this one.

4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Pours a gorgeous golden orange. Smells of candied grapefruit, until it warms up, then you get more floral hop quality with malt, malt, malt. Taste is a heavy malt backbone to back up the stupid amount of hops in this beer. Quite bitter, smoother as it warms up. Glad I got this beer, it reminds me of a few local favorites, so I'm glad it wasn't too unique!

4.8 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 20/20
I just wish this alcohol content wasn’t so high so I could drink it constantly. This may be the best brew I’ve ever tasted. I can’t imagine what this must taste like on tap.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours a lightly hazy medium amber with a 2-3 finger, creamy off-white head that has great retention and leaves good lacing. Aroma is tons of mixed citrus a little pine and a decent amount of melon and passionfruit/mango heavy tropical fruit, some dust grain, toast and palntiness tag along, but the big, fresh hoppy flavors really steal the show. Flavor is Caramel, toast, sweet grain and cereal and biscuit an intstant before the big rush of complex citrus and tropical fruit hop floods in, its all a bit raw, and some pine might seep in here and there but the fruity hops really steal the show. There are some mineral, nutty toffee, and light boozy notes that come out at it warms. Palate is medium bodied and creamy to sticky on entry with a light to moderate carbonation and dry finish. Light to moderate and moderately sharp carbonation. Really great beer, as it warms it becomes pretty harsh (bitterness, acidity and booziness), not unusualy with IIPAs but it seems the harshness kicks in at a lower temperature than IIPAs at a similar quality level.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
A really solid punch of something like sweet orange with a bit too much of a caramel malt character that makes it linger on the palate for too long. Boozy, not super drinkable, but good for a snifter.
