2.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pour is a clear burnt gold color, bubbly white head. Huge nose, lots of pungent bitter citrusy hops, almost overwhelming , nice pine notes, very boozy, and a little bready malt in the back. Not looking forward to this. There’s overwhelming citrusy hop bitterness up front on the taste, tons of booze, thick piney hops coat your mouth on the finish. I knew what I was getting into, but I think my "absurdly over-hopped mess of a beer" phase may be over. It’s exactly what it’s supposed to be so I can’t knock it for that, and I have to give it some points because I love Ruination from time to time. This is bordering on undrinkable for me though.

From a bomber dated 6/20, served in a Duvel tulip. The beer is a somewhat clear amber orange with a thick off white, almost tan head that leaves nice lacing. Right off the bat I am overcome with piney hop aromas as I pour. There’s not much to the aroma of this beer. Big piney resin, tropical fruit undertones, and a bit of pepper. Ok, so maybe it’s deeper than I initially thought. Wow, this beer is extremely piney. It hits you immediately with those big pine resin flavors. As it sets in there is grapefruit and a bit of a bready tasting malt, but the malt is hard to decipher. This is obviously a super hop forward beer. The resiny./grapefruit taste really lingers on the back of your tongue and completely coats your mouth for quite a while. I like it, it reminds me of 3 Floyd’s Arctic Panzer Wolf. I cannot really taste any alcohol, but I can definitely feel it. If a super assertive, hop heavy beer is something you enjoy, buy this. It’s exactly as advertised on the bottle, "A stage dive into a mosh pit of hops."

Flaske: Duft af citrus og lidt alkohol. Smagen er domineret af grape og mango. Lækker på mange måder med et stort alco burn til at slutte af på. Rigtig god øl.

Beer pours dark golden color with a massive, retained off white head. Massive aroma of grapefruit and passion fruit. Taste is full on bitter. This is a hop bomb of the highest order.

GOD DAMN this beer is hoppy as hell and I wouldn’t have it any other way! Comes on strong (As one would expect) and blasts you in the face with a wave of delicious hops. An overwhelming amount of tasty flavors explode all over your tongue and ends with a pleasant and reassuring bitterness. For a 10.8% beer you really can’t tell. Beware of that!

Poured from a bomber into snifter
Appearance – Pours a hazy orange color with a two finger white head. The head fades relatively fast to leave a good level of lacing.
Smell – A delicious citrus aroma is the heaviest; a wonderful mix of tangerine, orange with a lighter note of grapefruit. Mixed with this are malty notes of a more bready nature mixed with a lighter caramel sweetness. Very pleasant.
Taste – The taste begins big in malt where a caramel sweet and bready taste meets the tongue. The hops soon enter the taste however and mellow out some of the sweetness. While initially the hop flavors are of a sweeter nature themselves, with a strong tangerine and sweet grapefruit flavor, as the taste advances it bitter up ever so slightly as flavors of a pine and some lemon nature come to the tongue. In the end the malt and the hop seem to meet a common ground and blend to produce a very hoppy, yet quite balanced taste on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – The body of the beer is thick and creamy with a moderate level of carbonation. The body suits the beer very nicely and allows all the hop flavors to soak into the tongue.
Overall – Delicious and dangerous. While at 10.8 % this thick and tasty brew conceals its alcohol quite well. Large sweet and hoppy flavors and a great creamy body make this one to try!!
