4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Poured from a 22oz bottle. Absolutely beautiful, deep honey/amber with a small white head. Aroma is, as expected, citrus and pine, but not as intense for such a hoppy brew. Slightly sticky, light lacing that eventually slides off. Definitely not for those who don’t like bitter, but for those of us who do it’s a treat as it’s quite heavy on that point. Slight alcohol taste comes through, but does not detract. Full body and lively on the palate with a long, bitter finish. Stone Brewery delivered a real treat with this one.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bomber, bottled on 06/22/15. Clear medium copper, mostly lasting firmer off-white foam. Strong dank oily hoppy aroma and taste, bitter piney citric and resinous, alcohol is prominent, leaner sweet caramel malt. Average carbonation, full bodied, aggressively hopped. Over the top with hop, still be bice to try a fresh one. Much preferred the Ruination. DNFL (Definitely Not for Lagerboys)

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
ours a deep dark orangish amber color. Aromas of big hop action, sweet malts, and more hops. Flavor has some bready maltsy tastes with nice grapefruit and floral hop taste. This is one hoppy sumbitch. Stone sure knows what they are doing.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Absolute hop bomb. A destructive force to the pallette. That’s about all. It’s pretty balanced in that it’s insanely alcoholic but outside of that it’s what you would expect from one of the ruiners from stone. Very good.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle from Coppers, Newcastle. Golden coloured with a thick head of white foam. It has a very rich, spicy, zesty, warming peppery hop and orange marmalade flavour followed by a smooth bitter-sweet juicy finish. Excellent!

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle at tasting. Golden orange pour. Aroma of pine, caramel and peach. Sweet bitter taste of dry pine, raisinous hops, caramel and a dry finish. Very close to a barley wine this one.

4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bouteille bue en août 2014. Explosion de houblon et d’amertume. Un petit goût d’alcool trop présent mais dans l’ensemble c’est une excellente ipa de Stone (encore)

I twirl on the twine and revel in the heat. I have a thirst at times and climb to the sun. I am hop. And i endorse this beer. Paid by my kidneys and liver. Feed the soil and you shall reap the bounty for years if you take less than you give. This ends the lesson. I need another of these.

Well...didn’t realize what I had gotten into here. Bomber to tulip...temperature was right on. Big sniff...bonk...like having a fresh green piney hop smothered in raw molasses stuffed into your sinuses . First taste is caramel smooth across the tongue. Big round malty middle holds the bouquet through to the sweet not too boozy finish. Glad to have plucked this off the shelf. Have to go get another.
