COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
In spring 2011, Stone bought the farm, literally, taking over 19 acres of fertile Southern California soil where we now grow pristine fruits, vegetables, herbs and more for our Stone Brewing World Bistro & Gardens restaurants. A taste of our homespun farm-to-tableism is provided in this farmhouse ale stoked with lemon zest, plus lemon thyme and lavender straight from Stone Farms. This spring-to-summer saison is citric and herbal on the palate with a dry, peppery finish. Thanks to the infusion of fresh West Coast ingredients, this isnít your everyday saison. Itís our saisonó100% Stone. Celebrate the sunny season with an authentic taste of our farm and, with it, our commitment to quality.

This beer is the worst beer I have ever paid for. It taste like a holiday potpourri in a bottle. Stay away from this toilet bowl water.

Appearance: clear deep gold, a couple fizzy white bubbles that fade to nothing; looks slick and slightly oily. Aroma: prominent yeast and lemon, a dose of floral honey, and thatís about it. Taste: yeasty and sweet, with honey, lavender, and lemon. Finish: a little hot, kind of boozy, with thick sweetness (for the style) giving way to aggressive dryness. Notes: Not my favorite. I like my saisons with a lively body, balanced dryness, delicate yeast, and a refreshing level of alcohol. This was pretty much in direct contrast. Wasnít bad per se, just not what I look for in the style. Bottle courtesy of Derek at Beerble Study.

Pours golden yellow with small white head. Spicy peppery aroma. A bit pilsnery almost. Tastes spicy with herbs and maybe peppers, citrus. Some floral motifs maybe lavender. Hoppy within reason. Good saison ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle. A lightly hazy golden beer with a dense, off-white head. The aroma is rather spiced, cinnamon and cardamom I think, with some citrus and resin. Itís dry and medium bodied with a tad too much carbonation. Nice bitterness in the flavor, with citrus, some herbal and spiced hints, some black pepper and a faint chili-like touch. Orange zest hints and some pine cones. Long, fruity and lighlty spiced finish. Nothing impressive going on here. Guess it would have been more interesting without the spices. 150622

Golden brew that smells floral, breadish, somewhat sour. Taste is citrus and lavender. Recently had another lavender brew and am kind of liking what the lavender brings to beer. Will be keeping watch for this ingredient in other brews. Good brew but not so sure it is worth the extra $2 a six pack compared to other good brews.

A straightforward beer that's more Belgian than saison. I appreciate the story of how Stone does farm to table. Won't buy again as just too simple. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

12FL OZ ($20 12pack) this was the reason I got the variety pack; I had to try this being a big Saison fan. this was a great saison, no doubt about it. had a high enough ABV to count as a mans beer. big tuff suds that were pretty nice. poured very nicely. would recommend.
