COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
In spring 2011, Stone bought the farm, literally, taking over 19 acres of fertile Southern California soil where we now grow pristine fruits, vegetables, herbs and more for our Stone Brewing World Bistro & Gardens restaurants. A taste of our homespun farm-to-tableism is provided in this farmhouse ale stoked with lemon zest, plus lemon thyme and lavender straight from Stone Farms. This spring-to-summer saison is citric and herbal on the palate with a dry, peppery finish. Thanks to the infusion of fresh West Coast ingredients, this isn’t your everyday saison. It’s our saison—100% Stone. Celebrate the sunny season with an authentic taste of our farm and, with it, our commitment to quality.

bottle shared with my pal jamer, clear yellowish pour with thin white head, friity sour aroma, taste is metallic fruit, not bad for a saison

Pours from 12 oz bottle a clear, golden hued body with a moderate to slightly large white head with decent lace and retention. Flavour upfront, bitter hay, Scottish field grass, decent hop presence, lemons and bananas with an obvious yeast element. Somewhat refreshing, but peppery hops prevail. Medium bodied, with a semi creamy mouthfeel and a bone dry, semi bitter, spicy, medium-long finish. Fairly decent saison.

It poured a clear amber color with a thick off-white head. The aroma was of coriander, malt, herbs and some Belgian esters. The taste was malty and sprucy with coriander before a bitter herbal finish. Nice.

(bottle) clear, bight yellow colour with a tall white head; aroma starts with light funk, then lemon, herbs; clean, mostly bitter/peppery//lightly sour flavour with a long light bitter finish

Tap at Rattle n Hum. Deep, cloudy gold with a tall, fine head. Herbal nose, biscuits, sage. Sweet and herbal flavor—overdone. Some stewed, spiced fruits. Rich, full body. Nicely bitter. Decent but way too much herbal additives.

Bottle. Hazy golden yellow pour with a small white head. Big aroma and taste of chamomile, yeast, floral, and some citrus. I’m really digging this.

Pours golden amber. Smells of clove and pepper. Taste pepper, lemon, licorice, and some hops. Decent, but not my favorite of the style.

I don’t know much about this style, but I thought it was an enjoyable beer. "Zesty Belgian" is how I would describe it.

Bottle. Pours a cloudy golden yellow with a white head and pleasant floral aroma of spices, coriander, and fruits. Taste is spit, lots of cloves and coriander with yeast notes along with hops, floral notes, and fruits into the spicy finish. Delicious saison
