3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Poured from bottle, lakeside, after riding singletrack with friends, paired with brats off the grill. Quite floral and fruity, lemon aroma and body like a wit. Decent brew, but not as awesome as other Stone offerings.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle @ home. Hazed golden pour with a white head. Smells like lemon, grass, and herbs. Quite tangy and zesty. A little soap and paper...maybe some cracker. The flavor is kind of dry and spicy. A lot of lemon and herbs. Maybe some sage? Coriander, a little cracker, and soap. Weird finish I canít quite describe.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
on tap @ Party Town / Florence KY --- Clear medium golden amber, solid white head, sheets of lace. Aroma of malt and hops. Taste is light malt infused with lemon and thyme and graham, adding hops and pepper zest in a medium finish. Not a traditional Saison at all, the thyme provides an edge that doesnít go well with anything else. Not so good.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Clear, golden colour and a white head. Nice aroma, citrus, flowers and you get some of the herbs as well. Taste is very lively, somewhat bitter and some of the lemon sourness. Palate: soft and smooth but not very thick. I like this one.

2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
More than 50% white head, even with a gently pour. Underneath is sparking clear dark yellow. Aromas are funky, fruity. Smells like rotten grain, moreso than most beer. Taste is dry, very drying. Bitter. Muddy. Maybe this bottle is old, but itís not very enjoyable.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle. Moderate grain and straw for the malt, herbs and lemon for the hops, barnyard for the yeast, with notes of green apple and ginger. Head is huge, frothy, slightly off-white with good lacing and is fully lasting. Color is hazy light yellow amber. Flavor starts moderately to heavily acidic, then finishes lightly to moderately acidic and bitter. Palate is on the lighter side of medium, dry with a fizzy carbonation and a ginger type bite finish. Nothing outstanding, but this Saison is perfectly balanced and a nice twist in the end.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle in the Drafthouse Tower Bridge. Clear yellow amber, medium white fluffy head. Nose is fruity yeast esters, saison yeast, straw, lemon zest, herbal. Taste is quite a clean flavour, with the lemon and fruity ester flavours coming through and some nice fruit and saison yeast tanginess. Also bit of straw, grass and grain husk. Clean, crisp fruity saison without the higher complexity of something like a saison dupont.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
bottle - Pours hazy straw colored with a one finger white head. It smells of yeast, spice, and citrus. The taste is similar but also with what is a fairly strong dose of hops bitterness for the style. It finishes dry and overall is alright, but I hate to say it for one of my favorite breweries, not that great to me. Average.

3.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle from Sake Taniguchi (World Beer Market). Citrus and herbal nose, yeast, sweet and spicy, grass, some lemon. Clear dark gold straw color. Herb-infused grass and citrus fruit, sweet malt, some coriander, gentle pepper, and orange zest. Thin-medium body. Tasty stuff, but the herb/spice thing is a bit overdone, I think. Too much going on, in what should be a simple pleasure.
