COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Sawyer’s Triple is based upon the traditional "Golden Triple" style of strong ale, hailing from Belgium, and weighs in at 7.6% alc/vol. The brew is deep golden in color with a distinctive spicy, sweet and hoppy nose. Effervescent carbonation leads to a modestly dry malt character with hoppy flavors and alcohol overtones. Sawyer’s Triple was formulated and brewed by Bill Sherwood.

Hazy amber beer. Soft palate with some syrupyness towards the finish. Creamy malt with undertones of banana and gentle spices. A restrained and well behaved tripel that goes down easily.

Cheers to Kimchee for getting this rarity! Pale, bright yellow. Fruity aroma (apricot, peach, pear) with marshmallow. Sweet palate is fruity (pear, peach), vibrant textures and flowery esters. Well-hidden alcohol. Slightly tart in the finish, with lemony notes.

A: The beer pours a clear golden orange color with a tall white head. S: Reeks of sugar. Cloying as any beer I’ve smelled with over ripe bananas and spices being the only break from the sugar (not that they really help much). Bubblegum and cotton candy only add to the problem. T: This is so sweet, it’s almost got a grainy texture to it. Sugar, sugar, and more sugar with cotton candy, bubblegum, and overly ripe fruits such as bananas and apples. A strong spice character of clove that is also unpleasant. M: Syrupy with medium carbonation. O: Unenjoyable on all fronts. I know it’s sort of a dick move to bash this beer considering its purpose, but it’s just not good.
