Clear dark black brown colour with a small to average, fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, burnt, smoke, peppery - chili, smoke - chili fruit sweet. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and heavy bitter with a long duration, pepper chili, chili hot. Body is medium, texture is oily and sticky, carbonation is flat. [20110805]

From cask. Pours black with a small tan head. Aroma is smoked and distinct chili aroma, dark malty. Thick dark malty, smoked and with a solid chili bite. Sharp chili and smoked porter. Ends dry, dark malty, smoked and lasting chili bite.

Cask@GBBF2011. Deep ambery brown colour, small head. Aroma is chili, smoked wood, liquorice, earth and some mild burnt wet wopod. Flavour is quite similar in a nice balance. Quite a big burn in the finish, but not ruining the palate.
