Roasted malts, ash, dark chocolate, and occasional bursts of vanilla in the aroma. The taste is roasted malts as well, cereal, some dark chocolate, and vanilla, which I didnít find to be very well integrated.

Appearance was clear reddish brown with diminishing creamy beige 1/2 finger head, spotty lacing. Aromas are smoke, bacon, ash and hints of vanilla and chocolate. Taste are chocolate, vanilla upfront then smoke comes to play with some sweet porter malt backbone and ash. Palate was soft creamy CO2 with medium body, lasting smokey and sweet finish. One of the better Smoked Porters Iíve tried.

Draft at Trinity Brass Tap. Pours a very dark brown with a deep red hue along the edges. Near solid sheet of foam lacing along the glass. Aroma has tobacco, vanilla, and roasted malt notes. Flavor is slightly sweet up front with a nice amount of bitterness in the finish. Aftertaste reminds me of a vanilla flavor pipe or cigar tobacco.

Bottle from unknown place. Pours black with a thin khaki head. Leaves a lot of lacing in the glass. Nice roasted malt and vanilla notes on the nose. I definitely get the vanilla on the finish though Iím not sure it works blended with the smoked porter base. Other times I get more of the smoky notes. Itís a miss for me but its a more interesting miss than most.

Pours dark black with thick tan head. Smell is smoked cedar coffee and vanilla. Taste is bitter with a cigar flavor, notes of dark coffee and vanilla. Havey body, medium carbonation. Donít usually like porters but this one is pretty good.

Tastes like Stone Smoked Porter, with a subtle Vanilla flavor. Pretty standard. The regular smoked porter never really stuck out to me, this is no exception. Not bad, didnít blow my mind.

22oz bottle. Brown pour with a red hue. Large, foamy off white head. Aroma is as advertised, primarily smoke with a hint of vanilla. Initial flavor is creamy, burnt vanilla while a semi-bitter coffee, smoke flavor really comes out in the finish. Average carbonation with a somewhat dry texture. The vanilla gets lost in the overpowering smokey flavor. Not bad but I expected a little better.

22oz bottle. clear brown with a frothy tan head. hints of milk chocolate and smoke with a wet vanilla bean in the aroma. the vanilla comes through in the flavor as unsweet, raw and fresh. layered on top of smoke and dark chocolate. a tasty take on an old classic.

22 oz bottle. Pours black with a light tan head. Creamy coffee vanilla aroma with some roast and smoke. Flavor is roasty coffee, slightly smoky, pairing with silky cocoa and vanilla. It works pretty well.

22oz bottle pours a dark brown color without much head. Vanilla aroma. Intense vanilla flavor and lots of smokiness. A little overpowering.
