Bottle: Deep brown with auburn hues. Aroma is rich in roast, lightly smokey, and faint vanilla. Heavy roast up front with light cocoa and smoke; the vanilla really comes through in the tail. Probably the most prevalent and true vanilla flavor I can remember in any brew at this point. Not overwhelming, but certainly a stand alone flavor. Nice.

Pours a deep dark brown with a slight off-white head from a bottle. Aroma of chocolate and caramel/toffee. Flavor of dark chocolate and smoked wood, a little thin in the mouth IMHO. Good beer.

Nice vanilla beer. Dark brown. A little sweet, but overall nice balance of vanilla, chocolate, and smoked malts. Nothing amazing, but very solid and drinkable.

This one pours a hazy dark brown color that is mostly transparent when held to the light. The body is topped a smooth head of tan colored foam that slowly recedes to a thin film. The aroma is really nice showing notes of bakers chocolate, smoke, and a nice sweetness from the vanilla beans. The flavor follows suit with dark and baker’s chocolate up front along with sweet vanilla and a touch of smoke. There is just the right amount of bitterness on the back end to balance out the sweetness. Medium bodied and smooth with balanced carbonation leading to a sweet vanilla finish. Really nice beer and a great addition to the base beer. Good stuff.

Bottle: Poured a clear light black color porter with a large light brown foamy head. Aroma of light chocolate notes with light smoky note notes with some vanilla undertones are pleasant. Taste is a mix between chocolate malt notes offset by some vanilla with discreet smoky flavors. Body is thinner then I was hoping for with good carbonation. Well brewed and easy to drinking but lacks some depth and body to be truly great.

Pours a black with an off white head. Aroma is all smoke but not overly intense. Taste is roasted malts with a little smokiness. Not overly impressed with this beer, I love Porters and this was just ok. Thin and lacked any real flavor.

Initially taken by the way the vanilla rounds the porter bitterness. An all around pleasant drinking experience. Only knock against this is a slightly metallic finish. Pours out a nice dark brown, with a medium airy, frothy beige head. Aroma of vanilla somehow tricks the mind into thinking chocolate. taste has the vanilla rounding out the roast grains, mild sweetness with bitterness lingering in the background. Overall nice presentation.

Pours black w/ tan head. Mouthfeel is typical for a porter. Not a strong smoked flavor, but the vanilla comes through nicely. Reminded me more of a stout with the chocolate and darker malts.

pours black with a nice tan head. Spotty lacing. Aroma of chocolate, coffee and vanilla. The smoke is very light in the aroma and is predominantly a vanilla sweetness. The flavor has that band aid quality that I don’t find appealing. Light smoke, chocolate, and very sweet vanilla. Medium body. Medium carbonation and a fizzy mouth feel. Short bitter finish. was hoping this would be better.

Small off white head atop a deep brown body. Nose of ash and vanilla. Flavour of burnt chocolate and vanilla bean. Really tasty.
