12 oz bottle shared by Dean. Poured a thin to medium bodied dark black body with a foamy light beige head that is a touch on the small side. Aroma of vanilla and chocolate, cupcakes, pudding and toast. Medium bodied with average carbonation and a sweet aftertaste from the vanilla beans. Favors of dark toast, vanilla bean, cake, tootsie roll chocolate. Good stuff.

22oz bottle. Dark brown color. Aroma of dark malt, bacon drippings, and cheap vanilla extract. Flavor of burnt barley, smoked grains, and molasses. Not as empowering as I had hoped. (3915)

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
22 oz. bottle. Pours a dirty copper brown/black with a soapy khaki head that slowly settles to a film and coating lacing and collar. Aroma has big roasted malt subtle sweet vanilla coming through, actually its pretty noticeable! Taste is quit up front with vanilla and roasted malt some burnt flavors as well as some slightly off putting flavors in the finish, somewhat cloying. Palate is thin to medium and chalky and a bit dry. Nice to finally try this one.

On draft at The Growler, downtown NYC. Pours deep brown with lots of glass lacing. Aroma has vanilla and malts. Some mild smoke in the flavor with oak and a bit too much sweet vanilla. Traditional thin but very smooth palate. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 17/20
Pours a dark brown black with perfect off white head. Unique aroma of subdued smoke and vanilla. Medium to light body, with a fairly thin mouthfeel. Smoky coating with a slightly bitter aftertaste. Unique, the vanilla bean and smoke work. Very nice.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Vanilla, chocolate, bread aromas. Pours a black dried blood color under the light with a tan head and good lacing. Heavy on the vanilla backed up with a nice malty chocolaty flavor with the smoke just adding complexity seems highly carbonate maybe other then that pretty delicious.

12/15/13 brought by me to M&D's and shared with Luke.
Color is dark brown with a cream colored head.
As this beer warmed both smell and taste became more pronounced which may not be a good thing. The smell was a subtle smokey vanilla slightly caramel aroma. The taste followed the nose to a T. However as I got side tracked and went back to the beer after a while, it became almost cream sodaish.
As soon as I bought this I regretted it. I always found the smoke stone porter to be a great price but very underwhelming. This is just like that with some creamsoda dumped into it.
